The Richmond District Neighborhood Center is looking for a Program Assistant.

The mission of Richmond District Neighborhood Center is to nurture a diverse urban community by developing and providing high quality youth, adult, and family programs that address critical community needs and foster respect for all people and our environment.

The “One Richmond” Program Assistant will be responsible for widespread outreach to the Richmond District community to promote the One Richmond campaign that the district Supervisor’s office is launching in Summer 2018. There are four community meetings that need to be planned for each of the following groups: Chinese, English and Russian speaking stakeholders as well as older adults. Following completion of the meetings at the beginning of March, the program assistant will also support the planning of the kick-off and participate in the launch event in June 2018. The successful candidate will have: 0-3 years working with community based organizations 0-3 years of administrative experience Ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines Ability to work independently Knowledge and interest in the Richmond District (desired) Prior work with immigrant populations (desired) All candidates will be subject to a clearance of TB test and fingerprinting (criminal background check). Hours & Compensation: $15.75-17/hr. This is a part time (regularly scheduled to work 10hrs/wk) position. Benefits include health care in accord with the San Francisco HSCO (Health Care Security Ordinance) and sick leave in accord with the San Francisco Paid Sick Leave Ordinance.
