Chapter Actors: Summarize a full chapter (chapter choice is first come first serve – no doubles) in video. A script is mandatory: a project will be worth a maximum of half credit without a script. The video must be formatted to share in the presentation on: VHS, DVD, YouTube location, or playable on Windows Media Player. (Up to three members – all on screen)

Rap/Song Summary (music video optional but encouraged): Summarize all 12 chapters in the lyrics of your song or rap. Be prepared to perform your song/rap live or by recording (CD, DVD, or Windows Media Player) and hand-in a typed copy of the lyrics. (Up to two members- both perform)

Comic Book: Write a comic book (computer-aided optional) or a video game that includes all 12 chapters in Lord of the Flies. (Individual Project)

Movie Buff Compare/Contrast Essay: Plan ahead to rent these videos or choose another option. Written parent approval is required for this project because one of the films is Rated R. Students can make use of pictures, symbols, shapes, colors, and line styles to illustrate these relationships. As the story develops, students can add to or revise their sociograms to graphically illustrate the changing relationships, the traits of each character, and the emerging primary and secondary conflicts.
