EXPERIENCE

April 2016-present, Field Safety Manager, Eagle 1 Contract Safety, Monsanto Seed Warehouse and Microsoft DSM-06-08 project. Microsoft, Turner, Major Tire Plant (South Carolina)

Serve as the field safety representative for panel installation for an all-Hispanic crew for customer via Turner Construction for Microsoft. Perform morning assisted toolbox talk prior to work. Daily audits, lift training, daily coaching and correction. Provide guidance on daily reports, JHA, PTP, hot work and all other Turner permits. Perform hourly walking observations and coaching. Assist in the all team safety meeting concept with Turner Safety. Attend daily managerial meetings and perform casework management for injury and administer paperwork for incident reporting and events. In addition make recommendations on safety equipment and purchase that equipment for use on project.

Plant Management at the Des Moines, Iowa Monsanto Seed Plant through Global Engineering of Monsanto. I am the site manager for a rebuild of a warehouse. It is an experimental factory for seed sorting. It has some interesting features to include an indoor gantry system from Cimcorp of Finland. The warehouse has to be rewired for fiber, T-1, all refitting of electrical systems, new garage door and ramp builds and concrete floor reinforcements as well as the usual wall rebuilds.

Currently in the Columbia, South Carolina area with a confidential client (their choice, not mine to name); for a factory and plant auditing and rebuilding. The goal is to get them back on track after they were shut down for a year.

April 2014-April 2016, HSE Bakken Regional Manager, QC Energy, Killdeer, ND

Serve as the region service matter expert in safety to include training, OSHA, DOT and North Dakota, Colorado centric issues. Manage and investigate incident Files (Crashes, Injuries, Incidents, events & spills); assist with follow up on insurance claims, field calls from Drivers, Managers and Corporate HSE personnel in reference to injuries, crashes, spills. Manage all work comp cases (follow up and return to work) including talking to Work Partners, or Axiom partners assigned by the producer companies. Prepare HSE and DOT Compliance Audits, Assist with QUALCOMM, People Net, Rig Bits and driver log questions. Manage and keep all Internet audit accounts updated (ISN, PEC and Rigpass), In addition developed confined space for frac tank cleaning for the local area. -Manage and update Fleet Mentor program for Crashes. Assist with RAIR compliance issues. -Attend customer meetings -Schedule safety meetings at 2 locations in the State -Attend Taproot meetings with the customer -Prepare reports for upper level management -Assist all District Managers with whatever they require. Resolve Issues with Drivers or other staff. Both Compliance related and non. Teach safety orientations -Review and Purchasing of Safety Equipment -Assist with implementation and roll out of new programs in the Rocky Mountain Region. -Schedule specialized training for staff. Feb 2013-April 2014, HSE Advisor 2, Completions and Lead Construction, Marathon Oil through Solsten XP, Dickinson, ND, (current full time non rotation- trainer/mgr. for pipeline/new hire orientation) Serve as the advisor to the HES Professional to plan, and maintain health, safety and environmental objectives for the protection of personnel, customer projects, pipeline, skid placement and welding, equipment and property consistent with the Corporate, wireline and coiled tubing goals and objectives. Maintain “Safety First” trademark goal, maintain safe working environment for multiple product lines in the Bakken Operation area. Liaise with all construction contractors’ internal and external customers concerning safety issues in the field. Performed all hot work permitting; and H2s monitoring on oil pads. Institute daily FORC card reporting and Incident Reporting. Maintain employee training matrix, performed contractor training as needed. Conducted routine field and facility visit/audits (Marathon calls “engagements”) to help maintain safe working environment. Coordinate Daily, Weekly and Monthly Safety meeting with both construction and completions product lines. I have been farmed out to work with our partner contracts that are working with us on a new pipeline project. I have been providing in house safety management so these new partners are able to meet our and Tesoro’s strict partnership requirements. Orientation, safety equipment procurement, QC/QA, training.

Promoted and provided safety expertise to the district; Casper to Minot. Perform incident investigations; insured corrective action is taken, perform safety training; maintain files and records, generate reports. Conducted JSA, audits, inspections, performed root cause investigations, daily and weekly safety meetings. Conducted HSE training in house and at contractor/service sites. Corrected and inspected DOT logs, permits, and did in house compliance. Updated IS Networld and all performed incident investigations traveled. Had to stay updated on all OSHA, HSE, DOT and compliance regs. Versed in hazcom shipping and handling. Legend is a service company involved in coil tubing and nitrogen transport. Traveled 50% minimum. I also consulted part time when allowed.

Senior advisor to the Battalion Commander. Prepared unit for deployment in support of OIF/OEF. Planned morning safety briefings; and daily tailgate safety changes.

 One of 3 officers responsible for the initial selection and funding of the Presidential Guard for President Harmid Karzai  Possessed the highest CERP authority (humanitarian aide fund) delegated by the 2 stars in my command. I had approximately access to 300k a month in cash. Built jails, hospitals, wells, schools; bought medical and communication equipment  Served as a troubleshooter and used my telecom and electronic experience during all the deployments and was a trainer the entire time.  M-day DOIM, National Guard Active Duty Advisor (Director of Information Management) for Oklahoma. Responsible for rewiring the training center at Camp Gruber and developing its physical design. My project updated and rewiring its Internet and telecommunication command. Introduced VOIP; security, telecommunication, computer training and installation and all databases for the state.
