MINUTES

Call to Order - 3:00 PM

I. Pledge of Allegiance

II. Roll Call and Introductions Aaron asked if everyone could go around the room and introduce themselves.

In attendance: Lynn Parsons and Richard Wilkie

Via Teleconference: Liz Harris-Tuck and Tim Tucker

Absent:

Guests/Staff: Joel Millman (Arizona@Work Pinal County) Aaron Moon (Arizona@Work Pinal County); Alexis Pew (Arizona@Work Pinal County); Lee French (Arizona@Work Pinal County); Jason Roberts (Arizona@Work Pinal County)

III. Information/Discussion - Review Purpose  Aaron Moon asked the Committee what type of information they were wanting reported out from a staff perspective.  Lynn Parsons asked if they could get a report from staff to know what is working and what isn’t as a board, so they aren’t micro-managing.  Richard Wilkie asked how often the report would be coming out. He also asked for clarification on what Performance Accountability will be reported out from each of the partners.  Liz Tuck asked if the board could know how many people get jobs, go into training, and finish training.  Further discussion on the goals that are being measured.  It was asked if the full Board could get the report quarterly.

IV. Information/Discussion/Action - Outline Workplan  Aaron asked how we are going to track if we are being successful.  Aaron Moon outlined the six goals that are outlined in the Local Plan that the Performance Accountability Committee should focus on.  Further discussion on how they will track and measure the goals.  Richard asked how the Workforce will promote the services to contribute to the goals.  Joel stated he wanted to get beyond measuring Entered Employment Rate, Retention, and Median Earnings in the three programs since we are pushing to be bigger than those measures.  Further discussion on the measures and the new @ a Glance and what the Committee wants to report out to the full Board.  Discussion on what elements they want on the new @ a Glance.  Joel mentioned all the programs and expenditures and what the Board of Supervisors will be looking at, as well as at the state level.  First step will be looking at the @ a Glance and what targets will be identified and presented.  Further discussion on how we track the measures and create a baseline.  Discussion about an online survey to track job seekers as well as businesses.  Motion made by Lynn Parsons to divide into two sub groups, Group 1 will work on @ a Glance and Goal 1, and Group 2 will work on @ a Glance and Goal 2. Group 1 will be Liz Harris Tuck and Lynn Parsons, and Group 2 will be Richard Wilkie and Tim Tucker. Seconded by Liz Harris-Tuck. Motion passed unanimously.  Joel stated that we would send out the @ a Glance template and the one from Maricopa County to draw from. As well as Goal 1 and Goal 2.

V. Information/Discussion/Action - Meeting Schedule  Committee wants to meet at least once a month.  Next meeting date to be January 10, 2016 at 2:00pm.  Motion made by Lynn Parsons. Seconded by Richard Wilkie. Motion passed unanimously.
