September A Voice for Animals Contest

Participants must currently be attending middle or high school, or be home-schooled and under 19 years of age on the date the contest opens for entries. The contest is open to all otherwise eligible students worldwide regardless of nationality, citizenship or country of residence.

October $1,000 College JumpStart Scholarship

Applicants must be high school sophomores, juniors or seniors or adult students. Applicants may study any major and attend any college in the U.S. Applicants must be legal residents of the United States and complete the online application form including the required personal statement. The award may be used for tuition, room and board, books or any related educational expense.

Dartmouth International Science and Essay Contest

November Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America (LEDA) Scholar Program

Each year, LEDA recruits approximately 60 students around the US to become LEDA scholars. Scholars are exceptional students from socioeconomically disadvantaged communities, which are currently under-represented in our nation’s top colleges, universities, and leadership sectors. Students apply as juniors and then attend a summer institute between their junior and senior year which is held on the Princeton University campus.

December Apprentice Ecologist Scholarship

Three (3) scholarships will be awarded annually to the authors of the three best Apprentice Ecologist essays. Applicants should embody the spirit of the Apprentice Ecologist Initiative by demonstrating personal leadership and environmental stewardship in their project. Essays will be judged by a committee of Nicodemus Wilderness Project board members, volunteers, and past Apprentice Ecologist award winners. Winning essays have been 750 to 1,500 words long.

January ABPA Harrington-Arthur Memorial $1,000 Scholarship Essay Competition

The ABPA Harrington-Arthur Memorial Scholarship Essay Competition was established to reward students that seek to increase their knowledge and understanding of how Cross-Connection Control and Backflow Prevention help ensure safe drinking water.

Ann Liguori Foundation Sports Media Scholarship This scholarship supports the study of sports media communications or management and is intended for those hoping to pursue a career in sports broadcasting, reporting, programing or production. Applicants must be at least a rising junior.

Baer Reintegration Scholarship

Reintegration is an achievable goal and dreams are possible for those who have been touched by mental illness. The Center for Reintegration together with the Sidney R. Baer Jr. Foundation will continue to offer the Baer Reintegration Scholarship for those active in their recovery. The scholarship applications are generally available from October to January each year, and eligible applicants are invited to apply.

Carson Scholars Fund, Inc.

An interested student must be nominated by an educator at his or her school to be able to compete for a Carson Scholarship. Only one student from each school is able to apply, ensuring that each nominee epitomizes academic excellence. Carson Scholars must have a minimum GPA of 3.75 and display humanitarian qualities through community service. Scholarships are awarded solely on the basis of academic achievement and humanitarian qualities, without regard to financial need, ethnicity, creed or religion.

Profile in Courage Essay Contest

The contest is open to United States high school students in grades nine through twelve attending public, private, parochial, or home schools; US students under the age of twenty enrolled in a high school correspondence/GED program; and US citizens attending schools overseas.

February 1,000 Dreams Scholarship The 1,000 Dreams Scholarship provides one-time educational assistance for currently enrolled high school-aged women. This can include assistance for needs including but not exclusive to: educational conferences, instructional programs related to creative or artistic pursuits, graduate exam application fees, textbooks or tuition.

AMS Freshman Undergraduate Scholarship

The American Meteorological Society is pleased to announce the AMS Freshman Undergraduate Scholarship program, open to all high school students and designed to encourage study in the atmospheric and related sciences. Serving as a unique example of various sectors of our field joining together to support young, talented minds, the scholarships are being sponsored by partners in industry, as well as through named scholarships either established by an AMS member or in memory of someone.

Captain Kevin Kyle Mosley Private Pilot Scholarship

This annual scholarship awards $2,500 to one Oregon high school junior or senior (aged 16-18) with a passion for aviation to help him or her obtain a private pilot license (e.g. ground school instruction, dual and solo flight instruction, pre and post flight instruction, the FAA written test and flight examiner’s fee for the private pilot check ride). Note: Actual expenses to complete the training may exceed the scholarship gift amount.

Courageous Persuaders Video Scholarship Competition

Courageous Persuaders is a peer-to-peer national scholarship competition that invites high school students in grades 9-12 to create a 30-second commercial to warn middle school students about the dangers of underage drinking and the dangers of texting while driving. High school students can enter separate videos in both categories. The program was built upon the premise that high school students have a tremendous influence on younger middle school peers and with constructive messages, can positively impact decisions and potentially even save lives.

Cyberbullying Prevention for Teens Scholarship

In an effort to preventing cyberbullying, we have created the Cyberbullying Prevention for Teens Scholarship for undergraduate or postgraduate students/high school, college or graduate student or a student planning to enter college to receive $1,000 award.

Davidson Fellows Scholarship

The Davidson Fellows Scholarship awards $50,000, $25,000 and $10,000 scholarships to extraordinary young people, 18 and under, who have completed a significant piece of work. Application categories are Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Literature, Music, Philosophy and Outside the Box. Davidson Fellows are honored every year in Washington, D.C. with Congressional meetings and a special reception.

The Bezos Scholars Program @ Aspen Institute

This is a year-long leadership development program for public high school juniors and educators to put their education into action. It begins with a scholarship to attend the Aspen Ideas Festival and continues through the following school year when Bezos Scholar teams return home to launch sustainable, Local Ideas Festivals that transform their communities and their schools.

March Advocacy in Action Video Contest

Any student currently in grades 9-12 at a U.S. school is eligible to participate. The basic criteria is to: 1) talk about the risk from hazardous chemical facilities, and 2) propose at least one solution to this issue. You can talk about the facilities included in our interactive map, or about the unknown risks from additional facilities not included in the map.

American Society of Human Genetics Essay Contest

The contest aims to challenge students to examine, question, and reflect on important concepts in genetics. Essays are expected to contain substantive, well-reasoned arguments indicative of a depth of understanding of the concepts related to the essay question. Essays are read and evaluated by several independent judges through three rounds of scoring.

Create Real Impact Contest

Car crashes are the #1 killer of teens in America, and the majority are preventable. Create Real Impact motivates young people to promote innovative and effective solutions and strategies to the deadly epidemic of reckless and distracted driving. Entries are accepted in four formats (writing, art, music, and video) with two special categories (Spanish Language and Sports Theme).

April Abbey Road Green Ticket Scholarship

Our Green Ticket Community Service Scholarships are designed to reward students who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to the environment and their local communities. Abbey Road offers one full and one partial Green Ticket Scholarship equal to one full and one partial round-trip airfare to any Abbey Road summer program destination.

Gloria Barron Prize

The Barron Prize welcomes applications from public-spirited young people who are, on our April 15 deadline: Between the ages of 8 and 18 (not yet age 19); Permanent residents of and currently residing in the U.S.A. or Canada; Currently working on an inspiring service project or have done so within the past 12 months; Working as an individual to lead their service work. The Barron Prize does not accept applications from large groups of young people.

May American College Foundation Visionary Scholarship Program

The American College Foundation (ACF) Visionary Scholarship program offers multiple awards ranging from $1,000-$5,000. All high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens are eligible to apply.

Duck Brand Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest

The Henkal Corporation's Duck Brand Duct Tape "Stuck at Prom" Contest is open to legal residents of the United States and Canada, including the District of Columbia, but excluding Puerto Rico and the Province of Quebec. June A&F Business Consultants

The A&F Scholarships are available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post-secondary institution. To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay on the topic below. The essay should be between 500 and 1,000 words. Describe your educational career and life goals. Delete Cyberbullying Scholarship

Our project aims to educate parents and teens about the dangers of living in a connected world. Explore our site and then join us in the fight to stop online harassment. Freedom from Religion Foundation Catherine Fahringer Memorial Award

Four (4) scholarships are awarded to high school youth to assist with their tuition, room and board, books, and other academic resources. This award is available to high school youth who live in the U.S. who identify as atheist, agnostic, humanist and/or secular, and are accepted into two or four-year colleges. U.S. Bank Scholarship

Thirty-five $1,000 scholarships through a random drawing and a $5,000 scholarship to a student who completes a series of eight financial genius education course modules online. There are eight modules designed to take approximately 12-20 minutes each to complete.

Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway

November Jack Kent Cook Foundation

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program is an undergraduate scholarship program available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend and graduate from the nation’s best four-year colleges and universities. Selected from a nationwide pool of applicants, up to 40 students will become Scholars and have access to funding for up to four years for their undergraduate studies.

National Center for Women & Information Technology

The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing honors young women at the high-school level for their computing-related achievements and interests. Awardees are selected for their computing and IT aptitude, leadership ability, academic history, and plans for post-secondary education.

Prudential Spirit of Community Awards

This is the United States’ largest youth recognition program based exclusively on volunteer community service. The program was created to honor middle level and high school students for outstanding service to others at the local, state, and national level.

VFW Voice of Democracy Scholarship

The VFW established the Voice of Democracy program (VOD) in 1947 to provide students grades 9- 12 the opportunity to express themselves in regards to democratic ideas and principles.

December Advance Prevention Lawsuit Legal Scholarship

Lawsuit Legal is pleased to announce an annual sponsorship award of $1,000 for U.S. high school seniors seeking a degree in an accredited four year university. The program will be awarded for the first time in 2016, and will continue annually to provide opportunity and support in the form of financial awards to students working to build skills and advance their education for use in service of their communities.

AXA Achievement Community Scholarship

Applicants must demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, community or work-related activities. Burger King Scholars Program

Scholarship grants range from $1000 to $50,000, and are intended to help students offset the cost of attending college or pot-secondary vocational/technical school. Recipients are selected based on their GPA, work experience, extracurricular activities and/or community service.

Elks National Foundation, Most Valuable Student

There will be 500 four-year scholarships awarded to the highest-rated applicants. You need not be related to a member of the Elks. Male and female compete separately. Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership and financial need. Applicants must advance through local, district and state competitions to reach national judging.

Generation Google Scholarship

The Generation Google Scholarship was established to help aspiring computer scientists excel in technology and become leaders in the field. Selected students will receive 10,000 USD (for those studying in the US) or 5,000 CAD (for those studying in Canada) for the 2017-2018 school year. As part of the scholarship, current high school seniors who are entering their first year of university in 2017-2018 will be required to attend Google’s Computer Science Summer Institute (CSSI) in the summer of 2017. Current undergraduate or graduate students will be invited to attend the Google Scholars’ Retreat in the summer of 2017.

National Elks Foundation Emergency Education Grant

This program provides financial assistance to children of deceased or totally disabled Elks, who wish to obtain or further their college education. Odenze Marketing Group Volunteer Scholarships

Society for American Archaeology

The scholarship is in support of archaeological training for Native Americans who are students or employees of tribal, Alaska Native, or Native Hawaiian cultural preservation programs.

Stephen J Brady STOP Hunger Scholarship

The scholarship recognizes and rewards students who have made a significant impact in the fight against hunger. Each recipient receives $5,000 for their education as well as a matching grant in their name for the hunger-related charity of their choice.

January Accenture American Indian Scholarship

The Accenture American Indian Scholarship program was established in 2005 to build personal and lasting relationships with students who will become the future leaders in the American Indian Communities and possibly with Accenture. At that time, the scholarship sought the very brightest American Indian and Alaskan Native undergraduate and graduate students; however, recently, Accenture LLP is limiting the funds to the very brightest American Indian and Alaska Native incoming freshman and undergraduate students.

Cherokee Nation Foundation Scholarships

Scholarships are open to Cherokee Nation citizen students who have a minimum GPA of 3.0. There are multiple scholarship available, including scholarships open to high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students. There are general scholarships, as well as specific scholarships open fine arts, communications, and psychology majors. FAFSA

Seniors may begin completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form online starting January 1.

Freedom in Academia Student Essay Contest

Answer the essay question: why is free speech important at our nation’s colleges and universities using examples from both videos, discuss how censorship of students speech is incompatible with higher education. Your essay should be 800-1,000 words. Foundation for individual rights in education will start accepting essay contest entries in August.

Gates Millennium Scholars

The Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS) Program, funded by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, was established in 1999 to provide outstanding African American, American Indian/Alaska Native*, Asian Pacific Islander American**, and Hispanic American students with an opportunity to complete an undergraduate college education in any discipline area of interest.

GE-Reagan Foundation

Each year, the program selects numerous recipients to receive a $10,000 scholarship renewable for up to an additional three years-up to $40,000 total per recipient. In addition, Scholars are invited to participate in a special awards program. Awarded to students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity and citizenship.

George Fox University Theater

McDonald’s, Ronald McDonald House Charities We want students to reach their full potential. To help them accomplish this, our network of U.S. Chapters, along with the global office of RMHC, offer scholarships to students in financial need who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership and community involvement

National Honor Society Scholarship Program

Currently affiliated, active NHS chapters may participate in the NHS Scholarship program and nominate students for scholarships. Nominees must be senior (12th grade) NHS member students in good standing, generally meaning they continue to meet their chapters standards and obligation.

National Multiple Sclerosis Society

Current high school seniors or high school graduates (including students who have earned their GED certificate) of any age who live with MS or have a parent with MS and will be attending an accredited postsecondary school. Based on financial need, academic record and a written essay.

Oregon Opportunity Grant

It is available to students who qualify for Federal Pell Grants and awarded for those attending Oregon post-high schools on first-come, first-granted. OSAC encourages applicants to submit their FAFSA as soon after January 1st as possible to ensure priority consideration for a grant. OSAC will award grants until funds are depleted, which has occurred around February 1st.

Pride Foundation

(Oregon) Pride Foundation provides 50 different post-secondary educational scholarships to current and future leaders in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ), and straight ally community from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.

COSA Youth Development Program

Each year COSA sponsors or assists in processing eight $1,000 college scholarships. These scholarships are given to Oregon seniors attending 2 or 4- year Oregon colleges. Scholarships are for need-based students entering the field of engineering, education, students involved with leadership, young women entering the field of education or a deserving Latino student.

Create-A-Greeting-Card Scholarship Contest

Michael Yasick ADHD Scholarship

The scholarship program is for individuals in the US who: have been diagnosed with ADHD; are accepted to or will be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college, university, trade school, technical school, or vocational school; under the care of a licensed healthcare professional for ADHD.

National Co-Op Scholarship Program

WACE is the only international professional organization dedicated to developing, expanding, branding and advocating for cooperative & work-integrated education programs within industry and educational institutions. National FFA Scholarship Program

Scholarships are sponsored by businesses and individuals through the National FFA Foundation and are given for a wide variety of experiences, career goals and higher education plans. The selection process takes into account the whole student - FFA involvement, work experience, Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), community service, leadership skills and academics. More than 1,500 scholarships are available with just one application to complete for eligibility. Applicants must have been FFA members for 4 years, have completed a SAE Ag experience project, have participated in district or state activities, served in an FFA leadership role, and be studying in an Ag related field.

National Society Daughters of the American Revolution

The NSDAR awards multiple scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of degrees in diverse disciplines including history, law, nursing, and education. All multi-year scholarships, typically renewable up to four years, must be for consecutive years of attendance at an accredited college or university in the United States. The only exception is the American Indian Scholarship that is available for students pursuing vocational training.

Oregon Wheat Scholarship Award Program

A $1,000 scholarship for graduating seniors is offered to recognize graduates from each of the Oregon Wheat Growers League county associations. To be eligible to apply for this award, the student’s family must be a member of the OWGL or an employee of a grower member. The scholarship is also offered to high school seniors who have worked part time for a grower member. All applicants must be planning to enroll in a University or two-year Community College with the intent of completing a bachelor’s degree.

This scholarship program has been designed to provide outstanding high school and collegiate undergraduate students with a chance to pursue their educational goals in college. There are two separate selection pools, one for graduating high school seniors and one for current college students. Scholarships are one year in length and will be awarded in various amounts up to (and not exceed) $1,000 per student.

Ford Family Foundation Ford Scholars Program

The Ford Scholars Program is open to graduating high school seniors as well as continuing community college students who are seeking a bachelor’s degree and are ready to transfer to a four- year college.

Guy Davis OSEA Scholarship

This scholarship is for graduating seniors and it awards $1,250 to each recipient. To be eligible, applicants must have a relative who is an OSEA member and have a minimum high school cumulative GPA of 3.0.

“ I Matter" Scholarship

The VILLA "I Matter" Scholarship will provide tuition assistance to graduating seniors enrolling in an accredited undergraduate program in the fall. This is a renewable four-year collegiate scholarship program for Oregon high school seniors who are emerging leaders, and plan to attend an Oregon university or trade school. Scholarships for University of Oregon Students

The SOS program provides scholarships of up to $10,000 to incoming freshmen and transfer students majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, or physics at the U of O. Twelve to fifteen scholarships are awarded to incoming students each year and are based on both merit and financial need, as determined by the student’s FAFSA. Scholarships are renewable for a second year for eligible students.

Sleeklens Scholarship

Three winners will each receive $2000 to will cover their academic expenses for the 2017 academic year. Trail Blazer Scholarship

The Trail Blazers and Wesley Matthews are introducing a brand new college scholarship program sponsored by Wells Fargo. High school seniors with a 3.0 GPA in Oregon and Clark County, Washington are eligible to apply for a $5,000 college scholarship towards a 4-year, 2-year, or trade school education. Umatilla Electric Cooperative’s Scholarship Program

This program is designed to encourage and recognize the academic achievements of the members of UEC and/or their dependent children. April Abbey Road Green Ticket Scholarship Our Green Ticket Community Service Scholarships are designed to reward students who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to the environment and their local communities. Associated Oregon Loggers Scholarship

AOL offers scholarships for high school seniors and current college students seeking a degree from a four-year college of forestry accredited by the Society of American Foresters. These scholarships are available to children and grandchildren of AOL members and to others who wish to pursue a career in a forestry-related field such as Forest Management, Forest Engineering, or Wood Science. You do not have to be related to a member of AOL to apply for these scholarships.

Catching the Dream

Catching the Dream, formerly known as the Native American Scholarship Fund, makes grants to Native college students and works to improve Indian schools. ESA Foundation Scholarship Program

Jiggs & Maxine Fisk Memorial Scholarship

The Pendleton Foundation Trust offers the annual $5,000 Fisk Scholarship to a deserving Pendleton Senior student who will graduate with at least a 3.0 GPA. The award honors Jiggs and Maxine who were generous supporters of the Trust. The award is given for scholarship and activities and is not based on financial need.

National Indian Education Association (NIEA)

NIEA has partnered with the National Museum for the American Indian (NMAI) and Holland and Knight Charitable Trust for Young Native Writers Essay Contest (YNWEC). This year’s essay prompt asks students to describe how a cultural image, symbol, or art form has been utilized by their community to communicate a specific message of value.

National Native American Youth Initiative

The National Native American Youth Initiative is an intense enrichment program funded by the Office of Minority Health and the National Institutes of Health, National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities. NNAYI is designed to better prepare American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) high school students ages 16-18 to remain in the academic pipeline and pursue a career in the health professions and//or biomedical research.

Native American Journalist Association Scholarship

Oregon School Counselors Association

A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior based on their 500 word essay on the following topic: How has a school counselor made a difference in your academic, career, and/or emotional development?

Project Yellow Light Video Project

Create a video featuring the importance of avoiding distracted driving. The video should be exactly 25 seconds in length or exactly 55 seconds and must meet the entry criteria and objectives.

SAIGE Native Youth Track Program

The Youth Track is designed to provide Native American students an opportunity to learn about careers within the Federal Government, to meet American Indian and Alaska Native federal employees, and to gain firsthand experience in understanding the positive role that Native employees can play in enabling their respective agencies to better fulfill the federal trust responsibility and honor the unique federal-tribal relationship.

Shawn Carter Foundation Scholarship

The SCFS provides individuals grants, paid directly to the educational institution, to every student who qualifies and reapplies yearly, from admission to graduation. The grant can be used to cover tuition expenses and related supplemental educational expenses such as books, lab fees, travel and select costs of living. All Shawn Carter Scholars are required to “give back” to the community and by serving as mentors to younger, aspiring Shawn Carters Scholars.

Walmart Foundation Scholarship Applicant must be a dependent of an associate (employee) of any division of Walmart who has been actively employed with Walmart for at least 6 consecutive months.

May American College Foundation Visionary Scholarship Program

Ann C. Thornton Memorial Fund Scholarship

Duck Brand Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest

Frank Roberts Memorial Scholarship

LM Scholarship Program

Offered by Leavitt Machinery, a forklift company, the applicant is expected to be enrolled in a degree program (2-years or greater) in the Fall. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, the scholarship value is $500.

Oregon Sports Hall of Fame

This organization awards up to six $3,000 scholarships to Oregon high school seniors graduating in the year 2015. Recipients are chosen on the basis of financial need, athletic requirements, academic achievement and community involvement. Minimum academic requirements: GPA of 3.3, SAT of 1350 or ACT of 21. Scholarship funds must be used at an institution of higher education within Oregon.

June AAIA Undergrad Scholarship Must be enrolled in your tribe; must be attending an accredited school full time both fall and spring semesters; must be seeking an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree. A&F Business Consultants

The A&F Scholarships are available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post-secondary institution. To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay on the topic below. The essay should be between 500 and 1,000 words. Describe your educational career and life goals. Explain your plan for achieving these goals. Include your degree-major, why you selected it, and how this will help you achieve your goals.

Careers That Work! Scholarship Program

This scholarship program provides tuition assistance for high school graduates pursuing education at participating private career colleges in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. The high school identifies the student that receives the scholarship. The recipient must be accepted by the college to validate the scholarship.

Chief Manuelito Scholarship for High School Students

Scholarship is open to high achieving high school graduates and undergraduate Navajo students. Students seeking an Associates of Applied Science (AAS) or Certificate are ineligible.

Cobell Scholars

This scholarship was established as a result of the Cobell v. Salazar litigation. The Cobell Scholars Program is intended to provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships to vocational schools and institutions of higher education, including graduate and professional schools. ColoHealth "Healthcare in America" Scholarship

Four (4) scholarships are awarded to high school youth to assist with their tuition, room and board, books, and other academic resources. The WTS Helene M. Overly Memorial Scholarship is a $3500 scholarship awarded to women pursuing graduate studies in transportation or a related field.

WTS Junior College/Trade School Scholarship

WTS fosters the development of women in the transportation field by encouraging bright new professionals to undertake careers in the area of transportation. One way it does this is by awarding community, technical, or trade college scholarships to women pursuing transportation- related study at community and trade colleges.

Burger King Scholars Program

Scholarship grants range from $1000 to $50,000, and are intended to help students offset the cost of attending college or pot-secondary vocational/technical school. Recipients are selected based on their GPA, work experience, extracurricular activities and/or community service.

Citrix ShareFile Scholarship for Future Entrepreneurs

Citrix ShareFile will award $10,000 in scholarship awards to the top three students who submit the best essays. Finalists will be chosen by a panel of judges, including ShareFile founder Jesse Lipson. This scholarship is designed to help students pay for their education as they seek their own opportunities in entrepreneurship.

Five Hundo Entrepreneurial Scholarship

Generation Google Scholarship

The Generation Google Scholarship was established to help aspiring computer scientists excel in technology and become leaders in the field. Selected students will receive 10,000 USD (for those studying in the US) or 5,000 CAD (for those studying in Canada) for the 2017-2018 school year. As part of the scholarship, current high school seniors who are entering their first year of university in 2017-2018 will be required to attend Google’s Computer Science Summer Institute (CSSI) in the summer of 2017. The Oregon Chapter of the American Fisheries Society is proud to announce a competition for four student scholarships: one each for associate, undergraduate, Master’s, and Doctoral student categories. Tania Matthews Team Scholarship A $500 scholarship to individuals enrolling in or continuing to pursue education opportunities that enable them to develop skills relevant to running a small service business and improve and expand their knowledge of entrepreneurship.

January Accenture American Indian Scholarship

(NA) The Accenture American Indian Scholarship program was established in 2005 to build personal and lasting relationships with students who will become the future leaders in the American Indian Communities and possibly with Accenture. At that time, the scholarship sought the very brightest American Indian and Alaskan Native undergraduate and graduate students; however, recently, Accenture LLP is limiting the funds to the very brightest American Indian and Alaska Native incoming freshman and undergraduate students.

ASRT Foundation Scholarship

Foundation has more than 65 scholarships available for the 2017-2018 academic year. Awards are available for all types of radiologic science students regardless of specific area of interest. In addition to the general scholarships, there is a scholarship open specifically to minority students.

AWWA Holly Cornell Scholarship

Scholarships are open to Cherokee Nation citizen students who have a minimum GPA of 3.0. There are multiple scholarship available, including scholarships open to high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students. There are general scholarships, as well as specific scholarships open fine arts, communications, and psychology majors.

Elliott C. Roberts Scholarship

The Elliott C. Roberts Scholarship recognizes graduate student leaders who represent ethnically diverse cultural backgrounds. Applicants must be a first or second-year graduate student pursuing a degree in healthcare administration or comparable degree program (i.e., MBA, MPH, MHA, MPA, MSN or BSN). Must demonstrate financial need, a commitment to community service and excel academically, with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

EPP Undergraduate Scholarship Program

You must be a U.S. citizen currently enrolled or accepted as a full-time, second-year student in a four-year academic program or a third-year student in a five-year program in a discipline related to NOAA's programs and mission at an accredited minority serving institution (college or university within the United States or U.S. territories). Applicants must earn and maintain a minimum 3.2 GPA.

Ernest F. Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship

The Hollings Scholarship Program provides successful undergraduate applicants with awards that include academic assistance (up to $9,500 per year) for two years of full-time study and a 10-week, full-time paid ($700/week) internship at a NOAA facility during the summer.

IIE's scholarship and fellowship program is in place to recognize graduate and undergraduate industrial engineering students for academic excellence and campus leadership. The UPS Scholarship for Minority Students is available to undergraduate students enrolled in any school in the United States and its territories, Canada, and Mexico, where the school's industrial engineering program or equivalent is accredited by an agency or organization recognized by IIE and the student is pursuing a course of study in industrial engineering.

Interpublic Group Scholarship and Internship

Each is awarded to an ethnically diverse student who is currently a college junior and has a demonstrated interest in a career in advertising or public relations. Candidates must be able to fulfill a paid internship during the summer prior to the academic year the scholarship is awarded.

Mensa US Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled in a degree program in an accredited U.S. institution of higher learning during the academic year following the application date. Applicants must submit an application and essay explaining his or her career, academic and/or vocational goals

Meredith Corporation Scholarship Awarded to a student who has demonstrated a commitment to a career in publishing (print, digital and /or marketing) and who has completed the sophomore year in college. Includes a summer internship in the Communications Department working on corporate and editorial CSR programs for college credit. Microsoft Scholarship Program

Scholarship is open to students enrolled full time in a Bachelor’s degree program at a four-year college or university in the United States, Canada, or Mexico. Applicant must be pursuing a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM degree. Students from underrepresented groups of STEM are encouraged to apply.

National Debt Relief Scholarships for STEM majors

National Debt Relief will award 5 scholarships of $1,000 each to outstanding college students pursuing studies in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields.

National Multiple Sclerosis Society

Applicants must be a current high school senior or high school graduate (including students who have earned their GED certificate) of any age who live with MS or have a parent with MS, and will be attending an accredited postsecondary school. Amount is based on financial need, academic record and a written essay.

NLA Foundation Scholarship

Scholarship is open to minority students who are pursuing undergraduate training in Computer Science, Aviation, Nursing, or Music.

Oregon Opportunity Grant

It is available to students who qualify for Federal Pell Grants and awarded for those attending Oregon post-high schools on first-come, first-granted. OSAC encourages applicants to submit their FAFSA as soon after January 1st as possible to ensure priority consideration for a grant. OSAC will award grants until funds are depleted, which has occurred around February 1st.

Pride Foundation

(Oregon) Pride Foundation provides 50 different post-secondary educational scholarships to current and future leaders in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ), and straight ally community from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.

Providian Medical Scholarship

To apply for the scholarship, you must submit an original essay of up to 1,500 words that describes how medical equipment technology has changed the face of a college course and curriculum. Entries can also include a look toward the future and how this area of study will continue to evolve and advance.

Ruth Whitney Scholarship from Glamour Awarded to a college student who has experience in writing, reporting, or design for digital and/or print and who has a demonstrated interest in magazine journalism or publishing. Tim Fetzer Charity Fund - Winter Term Greatest Needs Scholarship

BMCC Foundation is offering a winter term scholarship award on behalf of the Tim Fetzer Charity Fund. Preference will be given to students with need and awards will be $500. There will be twelve scholarships awarded.

Thornton FFA Collegiate Scholarship

The Thornton FFA Collegiate Scholarship has been established to encourage FFA members in the state of Oregon to pursue higher educational opportunities in agriculture with the ultimate goal of seeking a career in agriculture.

Truman D. Picard Scholarship

Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate and graduate students who are Native American and pursuing a higher education in Natural Resources.

February American Indian Services Scholarship

Applicant must be one-quarter (1/4) Northern-Native American Indian and enrolled in undergraduate studies at university, junior college, or technical school. Applicant must have at least a 2.25 GPA. Deadline is Feb 1st for term starting in Apr/May/Jun.

AMS Minority Scholarships

The AMS Minority Scholarships will award funding to minority students who have been traditionally underrepresented in the sciences, especially Hispanic, Native American, and Black/African American students. The two-year scholarship is distributed once per year during freshman and sophomore years (second-year funding depends on successful completion of the first academic year).

BlueBird Scholarship

The BlueBird Certified Public Accountants Scholarship for Native American Accounting Students provides three (3) awards of up to $5,000 each for the academic year. Scholarships shall be granted to eligible applicants on a yearly basis (as long as there are funds available). Each award is for a 12- month period, renewable for a second year pending demonstration of exceptional progress. Scholarships are awarded through competitive application and are open to Native Americans only.

Frances Crawford Marvin American Indian Scholarship

The American Indians Committee of the Daughters of the American Revolution awards this scholarship to Native Americans and is intended to help Native American students of any age, any tribe and in any state striving to get an education. Michael Yasick ADHD Scholarship

Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship

Candidates for these scholarships should have a superior record of academic achievement and/or job performance and show promise of completion of their studies at a high level of performance. In addition, candidates should have plans to pursue a career in state or local government finance.

National Society Daughters of the American Revolution

The NSDAR awards multiple scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of degrees in diverse disciplines including history, law, nursing, and education. All multi-year scholarships, typically renewable up to four years, must be for consecutive years of attendance at an accredited college or university in the United States. The only exception is the American Indian Scholarship that is available for students pursuing vocational training.

Oregon Barber and Hairdresser (B&H) Grant Program

You must be a resident of Oregon who is attending a licensed school of barbering, hair design, cosmetology, or manicure in Oregon that participates in Federal IV financial aid programs and participates in the Barbers and Hairdressers Grant Program. You must be enrolled full-time in a program which is at least nine months long or 900 clock hours. You must have a significant need for financial help.

This scholarship provides $1,000 to help a worthy candidate pursue an Associate of Applied Science Degree with FAA & A&P Certification or an alternate degree filed related to aviation maintenance. The scholarship is offered to an Oregon public high school senior or high school graduate with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and plan to attend an accredited and FAA approved school within Oregon, such as Lane or Portland Community College, and start in the Fall term. Thornton FFA Scholarship

This scholarship has been established to encourage FFA members in the state of Oregon to pursue higher educational opportunities in agriculture with the ultimate goal of seeking a career in agriculture, not limited to production agriculture, but to include agribusiness and veterinary medicine. The Thornton family hopes that the scholarship will encourage people to physically work toward their goals and to responsibly contribute to agriculture.

Washington Internship for Native Students

American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian (AI/AN/NH), and other students enrolled in a college or university as a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student in good academic standing are eligible to participate in the WINS program. Sophomores must have completed the equivalent of three (3) semesters of full time study to be eligible to participate in the program.

Washington Student Achievement Council: American Indian Endowed Scholarship

This program provides educational scholarships on a competitive basis to outstanding students with close social and cultural ties to an American Indian tribe or community in the state. Recipients are selected on the basis of academic merit and a commitment to serve the American Indian community in the state of Washington.

March AAAE Scholarships

Scholarships are open to full-time undergraduate or graduate students who are either studying aviation OR are A.A.E.s, their spouses or their children. Multiple scholarships are available with specific requirements, including scholarships for women and Native American students.

ACHE Albert W. Dent Graduate Student Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to provide financial aid to minority students in healthcare management graduate programs to help offset tuition costs, student loans and expenses. Offered annually, the Albert W. Dent Graduate Student Scholarship is designated for minority students enrolled in their final year of a healthcare management graduate program.

ACS Scholars Program

ACS awards renewable scholarships to underrepresented minority students who want to enter the fields of chemistry or chemistry-related fields. Awards are given to qualified students. African American, Hispanic, or American Indian high school seniors or college freshman, sophomores, or juniors pursuing a college degree in the chemical sciences or chemical technology are eligible to apply.

American Indian Endowed Scholarship

This program provides educational scholarships on a competitive basis to high-achieving, low-income resident students who have close social and cultural ties to an American Indian tribe or community within the state. Recipients demonstrate academic merit and a commitment to serve the American Indian communities in Washington. Students can use the scholarships at public colleges and universities and many accredited independent colleges and universities in Washington.

ALA - LITA/LSSI Scholarship

The scholarship is designed to encourage the entry of qualified persons into the library and automation field who plan to follow a career in that field; who demonstrate potential in, and a strong commitment to the use of automated systems in libraries; and who are qualified members of a principal minority group (American Indian or Alaskan native, Asian or Pacific Islander, African- American, or Hispanic). This scholarship is for study in an ALA Accredited Master of Library Science (MLS) program.

CANFIT Nutrition, Physical Education and Culinary Arts Scholarships

Undergraduate and graduate scholarships are available for California African-American, American Indian, Alaska Native, Asian American, Pacific Islander or Latino/Hispanic students expressing financial need to study nutrition, physical education or culinary arts in the state of California. This scholarship program has been designed to provide outstanding high school and collegiate undergraduate students with a chance to pursue their educational goals in college. There are two separate selection pools, one for graduating high school seniors and one for current college students. Scholarships are one year in length and will be awarded in various amounts up to (and not exceed) $1,000 per student.

Fontana Transport Inc Scholars Program

The Fontana Transport Inc. Scholars Program is open to underrepresented, low-income and first- generation college-bound students. Students must be pursuing an undergraduate degree full-time in: Transportation, math, science, engineering, architecture, environmental design, premed, psychology, or Spanish language/literature.

Ford Family Foundation Ford Scholars Program

The Ford Scholars Program is open to graduating high school seniors as well as continuing community college students who are seeking a bachelor’s degree and are ready to transfer to a four- year college.

Howard Vollum American Indian Scholarship

For Native American residents of Clackamas, Multnomah or Washington counties in Oregon or Clark County in Washington, who are seeking a post-secondary degree in science, computer science, engineering, and math.

Idaho Opportunity Scholarship

The demand for a well-educated workforce was just one of the driving forces behind the creation of Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter's Opportunity Scholarship. Students who received the Idaho Opportunity Scholarship prior to the upcoming school year must complete a renewal application every year. Indian Health Services Health Professionals Scholarship Program

The Indian Health Service (IHS) offers three scholarships for American Indian and Alaska Native students in order to educate and train health professionals to staff Indian health programs. Students need to be enrolled in a federally recognized tribe, preparatory scholarship can be 1st or 2nd degree descendant of a tribal member, 2.0 GPA or higher, pursuing a degree in a health related profession, OR a junior or senior in college planning to get a masters in social work or physical therapy; Service obligation upon completion. International Order of the King's Daughters and Sons North Indian Scholarship Program

The IOKDS offers $500 to $700 scholarships to North American Indians. There is no restriction as to tribal affiliation or Indian blood quantity. However, the student must provide a tribal registration number and fulfill other requirements. The scholarships are given for technical, vocational or college studies, but not granted for schooling beyond a bachelor’s degree.

Leonard M. Perryman Scholarship

Scholarship is open to racial ethnic minorities students who are United Methodist undergraduates intending to pursue a career in religion journalism.

AOL offers scholarships for high school seniors and current college students seeking a degree from a four-year college of forestry accredited by the Society of American Foresters. Native American Journalist Association Scholarship

Novo Nordisk Donnelly Awards

Two one-time national awards of $5,000 each given annually to two young people aged 14-21 who have diabetes and play tennis competitively in tournaments or on their school team. The awards are to be used for education, tennis development, and/or medical care.

Oregon Cattlemen’s Stewardship Fund (OCSF) Scholarship

The OCSF Scholarships are open to current members and their family. Applicants must be at college sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate level and be enrolled full-time at a community college or university. All majors may apply; however, some relevance to the livestock industry must be demonstrated. Oregon Pointe Pest Control Scholarship

This scholarship is a one-time scholarship worth $750. Applications for scholarship can be submitted by any high school senior or college freshman from the state of Oregon. This scholarship is judged primarily on need basis, but does not exclude achievement standards. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Project Yellow Light Video Project

Create a video featuring the importance of avoiding distracted driving. The video should be exactly 25 seconds in length or exactly 55 seconds and must meet the entry criteria and objectives.

SAIGE Native Youth Track Program

The Youth Track is designed to provide Native American students an opportunity to learn about careers within the Federal Government, to meet American Indian and Alaska Native federal employees, and to gain firsthand experience in understanding the positive role that Native employees can play in enabling their respective agencies to better fulfill the federal trust responsibility and honor the unique federal-tribal relationship.

Shawn Carter Foundation Scholarship

The SCFS provides individuals grants, paid directly to the educational institution, to every student who qualifies and reapplies yearly, from admission to graduation. The grant can be used to cover tuition expenses and related supplemental educational expenses such as books, lab fees, travel and select costs of living. All Shawn Carter Scholars are required to “give back” to the community and by serving as mentors to younger, aspiring Shawn Carters Scholars.

United South and Eastern Tribes, Inc. Scholarships

Scholarship monies are awarded to USET area Indian undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled members of one of the twenty-six USET member Tribes. Students must be in satisfactory standing and demonstrate a need for financial assistance.

American Indian College Fund Scholarships

Hyatt Hotels Fund for Minority Lodging Management Students

In 1988, Hyatt established this fund to provide financial aid to minority students pursuing a degree in hotel management. Since 1988, approximately 351 minority students have received $702,000 through this scholarship.

LM Scholarship Program

Native Vision Johns Hopkins School of Public Health Scholarship

Native Vision gives scholarships to outstanding American Indian students with a commitment to education, athletics and leadership. Eligibility Candidates must: 1. Be an enrolled member of a federally recognized tribe; 2. Demonstrate a sustained involvement in the community and an applied concern for American Indian issues and initiatives; 3. Ofield Dukes Multicultural Student Award

Scholarship is open to students entering their junior year this fall who are enrolled in a journalism, public relations studies or courses preparing for a career in public relations. REDW will support 2 students, studying Accounting, each year.

Saidie Orr Dunbar Nursing Scholarship The Saidie Orr Dunbar Nursing Education Fund Trust was established by the Oregon Federation of Women’s Clubs and the American Lung Association of Oregon in 1956 in recognition of Saidie Orr Dunbar who was a leader in the development of public health services in Oregon. The average award is $1,000 to $3,000. Applicants must have been accepted to a nursing degree program in an institution of higher learning and must practice in Oregon upon graduation. Particular emphasis is given to preparation in public health nursing.

Richard C. Alexander Scholarship

For Early Head Start Parents, this scholarship will be awarded annually to an Early Head Start Parent enrolling in a program of higher education.

Wells Fargo American Indian Scholarship

To be considered for the Wells Fargo scholarship, an applicant must: Be an enrolled member of a United States federally recognized American Indian tribe or Alaska Native group, as verified through submission of the AIGC Tribal Eligibility Certificate (TEC); Be pursuing a career and degree in fields relating to banking, resort management, gaming operations, management and administration, including accounting, finance, information technology and human resources; Be a college junior or senior at a U.S. accredited college or university as full time and degree seeking student maintaining an average GPA of a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale at the time of application; Demonstrate financial need through submission of the AIGC Financial Need Form (FNF).

Wells Fargo Scholarship for Undergraduates

June AAIA Allogan Slagle Memorial Scholarship

AAIA provides undergraduate and graduate scholarships (including PhD, Law, and Medicine) to Native American/Alaska Native students from tribes that are not on the list of tribes recognized by the federal government in the amount of $1,500 per year.

AAIA Sequoyah Graduate Scholarship

The Association on American Indian Affairs offers Sequoyah Graduate Scholarships to students in any curriculum. This scholarship does not automatically renew. Students are eligible to apply on a yearly basis.

AAIA Undergrad Scholarship

This scholarship was established as a result of the Cobell v. Salazar litigation. The Cobell Scholars Program is intended to provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships to vocational schools and institutions of higher education, including graduate and professional schools. ColoHealth "Healthcare in America" Scholarship A $500 scholarship essay contest for high school seniors or students enrolled full time in at least a 2- yr institution. Essay submissions must be at least 500 words. Please see website for submission details. Scholarship will be awarded bi-annually.

Continental Society Daughters of Indian Wars Scholarships

Open to Native American, certified tribal members with plans to work on a reservation. Must be an undergraduate junior or senior accepted to or already attending an accredited college/university, be carrying at least eight semester hours, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Must be US citizen and demonstrate financial need.

FLINTCO Scholarship

This is an undergraduate level scholarship for which applicants must possess a minimum 2.5 GPA; enrolled in a U.S. Federally Recognized tribe or Alaska Native group; be a full time incoming college sophomore, junior or senior seeking a degree and career in fields of study including: construction management; construction science; various engineering, and; safety or related field.

Injury Law Diversity Scholarship Award

Scholarship is open to students who have been accepted to, or attending a four-year college program with the intention of pursuing a legal degree. Applicant must also be a member of an ethnic/racial minority or an individual who has made a demonstrative commitment to diversity issues within his or her school and/or community.

Loan for Service

AIGC administers a Bureau of Indian Education contract to provide financial assistance in the form of loans to eligible American Indian and Alaska Natives seeking graduate and professional degrees. Lift Parts Express

A $1,000 scholarship where applicants are asked to write an essay that outlines how much they expect to spend to finish their schooling, how they intend to pay for a higher education, and what they expect their job to be once they have received their degree.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Award The scholarship is awarded to minority nominees who have demonstrated a need and a willingness to continue an educational mission toward a college education or graduate training related to a career in the criminal justice field. The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America has provided a small number of scholarship awards to assist students of American Indian heritage who are pursuing degrees in nursing or in the field of health care and health education. Eligible students receive per semester and the money is to be used strictly for tuition, books or fees applicable to the student's approved program.

Catching the Dream seeks to address this deficiency. Our high-priority areas of study are math, engineering, science, business, education, and computers. These fields of study are critical to the future of Indian people and the nation, and Native Americans are very underrepresented in these fields. Council of Energy Resource Tribes (CERT) Scholarships

The CERT Scholarship Program was created to meet the unforeseen need of today’s American Indian college students. CERT Scholarships may be used for books, living expenses, clothing, or other similar needs to assist students in defraying the high costs of education. The award is a gift from the Council of Energy Resource Tribes and should not be counted toward any financial aid the student is currently receiving. A CERT Scholarship is not based on financial need.

George A. Strait Minority Scholarships

George A. Strait Minority Scholarships are awarded annually to college graduates with meaningful law library experience who are members of a minority group as defined by current U.S. government guidelines, are degree candidates in an accredited library or law school, and who intend to have a career in law librarianship. Applicants must show evidence of financial need. To apply for the George A. Strait Minority Scholarship, you must also qualify for one of the AALL Educational Scholarships.

IIE UPS Scholarship for Minority Students

IIE's scholarship and fellowship program is in place to recognize graduate and undergraduate industrial engineering students for academic excellence and campus leadership. The UPS Scholarship for Minority Students is available to undergraduate students enrolled in any school in the United States and its territories, Canada, and Mexico, where the school's industrial engineering program or equivalent is accredited by an agency or organization recognized by IIE and the student is pursuing a course of study in industrial engineering.

AICPA Fellowships for Minority Doctoral Students

The AICPA Fellowship for Minority Doctoral Students ensures that CPAs of diverse backgrounds are visible in college and university classrooms. The program's goal is to increase the number of minority CPAs who serve as role models and mentors to young people in the academic environment and university classrooms. The AICPA Foundation awards annual fellowships to full-time minority accounting scholars who demonstrate significant potential to become accounting educators.

AIGC Fellowship

The AIGC Fellowship program provides approximately $1,200,000 in fellowships to over 400 American Indian and Alaska Native graduate and professional students each year. Graduate fellowships are monetary awards made to American Indian and Alaska Native graduate or professional full-time, degree-seeking students, who meet all eligibility criteria. The fellowship amount is typically between $1000 and $5000 per academic year (not including summer), and varies from year to year, depending on the number of qualified applicants, the availability of funds and unmet financial need.

APSA Minority Fellowship Program

Minority Fellows Program is a fellowship competition for individuals from under-represented backgrounds applying to doctoral programs in political science. The MFP was established in 1969 (originally as the Black Graduate Fellowship) to increase the number of minority scholars in the discipline.

ASA Minority Fellowship Program

Minority Fellowship Program applicants can be new or continuing graduate students. However, the MFP is primarily designed for minority students entering a doctoral program in sociology for the first time or for those who are in the early stages of their graduate programs. MFP applicants must be applying to or enrolled in sociology departments which have strong mental health research programs and/or faculty who are currently engaged in research focusing on mental health issues.

ASM Undergraduate Research Fellowship (ASM-URF)

The ASM Undergraduate Research Fellowship (URF) is aimed at highly competitive students who wish to pursue graduate careers (Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D.) in microbiology. The program, operated by the Newseum Institute and funded by the Freedom Forum, matches qualified candidates with participating news organizations from across the country for 10- to 12-week paid internships. Selected scholars participate in an intense, one-week orientation/multimedia training workshop at the John Seigenthaler Center in Nashville, Tenn., in preparation for their internships. The training in Nashville is paid for by the Newseum Institute.

CRITFC TRAIL Project - Research Internship

CWGCS Fellowship on Women & Public Policy

The fellowship is an intensive leadership development program designed to maximize the skills and contributions of women to achieve excellence in public service. The fellowship program is open to graduate students and working professionals who have successfully completed a minimum of 12 graduate credits in any academic discipline and have a minimum of 3-5 years work experience.

EPA Environmental Research and Business Support (ERBS) Program

The purpose of the EPA Environmental Research and Business Support Program is to address EPA’s need to increase the supply of promising scientists, engineers, and administrative personnel in disciplines related to the EPA mission. This program provides opportunities for exceptional undergraduate and graduate students and recent bachelor’s, master’s, and postdoctoral graduates to work in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Office of Research and Development (ORD) research and administrative projects at multiple EPA laboratories and research centers.

Fish & Wildlife Service Internships

Employment with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is an effective way for students to gain work experience, earn money, and establish a career in conservation and natural resources. There are employment opportunities for students in high school through graduate school ranging from summer work to year-round internships that could lead to permanent positions. Friends of Tryon Creek - Outreach & Membership Intern (Unpaid)

The intern will fill 2-3 shifts per week at the front desk of the Tryon Creek Nature Center, promoting Membership with FOTC, and providing visitors with information about the park, our programs and events. The intern will also spend one additional shift at a table outside on the trails focused on Membership promotion and volunteer recruitment. The intern will also assist staff in the development of a social media plan to grow FOTC’s engagement and followers online.

Indian Land Tenure Foundation Internship Program

The College Internship Program is designed to work with colleges and universities in offering a college internship opportunity for students to become directly involved in land tenure issues for college credit. This program places students at a tribal office working directly on land tenure issues under the supervision of appropriate tribal office staff and college faculty.

ITEP Environmental Education Outreach Program Internship

Since 1994, the Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals (ITEP) has offered student summer internships for Native American and other college students with funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA). This program provides the opportunity for students to gain hands-on skills with EPA or other governmental and tribal environmental offices.

McNickle Center Fellowships

The Newberry Library offers several long- and short-term fellowships to American Indian graduate student scholars pursuing research at the Newberry in order to improve the quality of what is written about American Indians and indigenous peoples; educate teachers about American Indian and indigenous cultures, histories, and literatures; and assist American Indian tribal and indigenous historians in their research.

Mosaics in Science (MIS) Diversity Internship Program

The Mosaics in Science (MIS) Diversity Internship Program provides college students and recent graduates 18-35 years old that are under-represented in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) career fields with on-the-ground, natural resource science-based, work experience in the National Park System. Each internship is comprised of working eleven weeks in a park followed by a four day career workshop held in Washington, D.C.

NAPIRE (Native American and Pacific Islander Research Experience) in Costa Rica

Undergraduates will be selected through a competitive application process for a nine-week research program at La Selva Research Station or Las Cruces Research Station in Costa Rica. Students will live immersed in a rich academic community of researchers conducting novel tropical research and will attend workshops on field skills, current research in tropical biology, international research ethics, statistics, and scientific written and oral communication. Participants will also be exposed environmental, social, and cultural issues surrounding the Stations.

National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates

NSF funds a large number of research opportunities for undergraduate students through its REU Sites program. An REU Site consists of a group of ten or so undergraduates who work in the research programs of the host institution. Each student is associated with a specific research project, where he/she works closely with the faculty and other researchers. Students are granted stipends and, in many cases, assistance with housing and travel.

Native American Political Leadership Program

The Native American Political Leadership Program (NAPLP) is a full scholarship for Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian students who want to take part in Semester in Washington Politics. It is open to undergraduate and graduate students, including those who have completed their undergraduate degree but have not yet enrolled in a graduate program.

NCAI Native Graduate Health Fellowship

Applicants should be members of an American Indian or Alaska Native tribal nation and must be new or continuing full-time students in the Fall of 2016 pursuing graduate or professional degrees in any health-related area, including Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Pharmacy (MPharm), etc.

NCAI: Wilma Mankiller Fellowship

An internship with NCAI offers a unique opportunity for young leaders from throughout Indian Country—as well as for other young leaders with an interest in Native affairs, to be on the front lines of legislative action and policy development from within the oldest, largest, and most representative American Indian and Alaska Native organization.

NOAA Climate & Global Change Postdoctoral Fellowships

Applicants must have a PhD degree in an area related to climate change research and have completed defense of the degree before starting the fellowship. Preference is given to new graduates who are seeking their first fellowship and who have held a PhD for no more than three years. We encourage applications from women and minorities and U.S. citizenship is not a requirement.

OMSI Internships Our program is competitive, but we’re eager to hear from you. Internships are unpaid and are typically a twelve-week commitment.

Predoctoral Fellowship

Fellowship is open to all citizens, and permanent residents of the United States, as well as individuals granted deferred action status under the DACA program. Applicant must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an eligible research-based program leading to a Ph.D. or Sc.D. degree at a non-proprietary U.S. institution of higher education. Applicant must be committed to a career in teaching and research at the college or university level.

Presidential Management Fellowship

The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program is administered by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Each year, candidates apply to the program in efforts to be selected as Finalists. Finalists are then eligible for appointment as Presidential Management Fellows (Fellows; PMFs).

Science to Action Fellowship Program

The program is open to Master’s and Doctoral students in MSU’s Department of Fisheries and Wildlife or at any Climate Science Center consortium institution. Students must be enrolled at the institution for the entire fellowship year.

Udall Native American Congressional Internship

The Native American Congressional Internship Program provides American Indian and Alaska Native students with the opportunity to gain practical experience with the federal legislative process in order to understand first-hand the government-to-government relationship between Tribes and the federal government.

Washington Internship for Native Students

American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian (AI/AN/NH), and other students enrolled in a college or university as a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student in good academic standing are eligible to participate in the WINS program. Sophomores must have completed the equivalent of three (3) semesters of full time study to be eligible to participate in the program.

WSU Undergraduate Research Opportunity: Data-intensive research in the environmental sciences Participants must be currently registered at a two or four year college, and may not have received their Bachelor’s degree prior. Women, members of demographic groups traditionally underrepresented in environmental fields, and students from community colleges or institutions that do not offer research opportunities for undergraduates are particularly encouraged to apply. You must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident in order to receive NSF funding.

Oregon Community Colleges Blue Mountain Community College Foundation Scholarships

The BMCC Foundation and Financial Aid office attempt to post all local and national scholarship opportunities. Most scholarship applications are due March through May for funding fall term. Mid- year scholarships are sometimes made available. Please check back often for updated information. Most scholarships require you to submit an essay.

Central Oregon Community College Foundation Scholarships

Each year the COCC Foundation offers nearly 350 awards totaling $1.5 million for local students. A scholarship is easy to apply for and can be renewed for two additional years.

Chemeketa Community College Foundation Scholarships

The application is available online beginning February 1st and ending March 31st. Scholarships are awarded each year beginning at the end of May. The Foundation will continue awarding first-round scholarships through July. Students are encouraged to continue checking their My Chemeketa email account weekly for a scholarship notification through the beginning of fall term as scholarships will continue to be reoffered.

Clackamas Community College Scholarships

CCC awards more than $700,000 in scholarships each year to local students like you. More than 275 scholarships are available and you don't have to have a perfect GPA to qualify. Applications are due Oct. 31 at midnight. It's worth the time to apply.

Clatsop Community College Scholarships

CCC foundation manages approximately $2.9 Million in privately donated funds which provide scholarships for CCC students and funding for CCC programs.

Columbia Gorge Community College Foundation Scholarships

Columbia Gorge Community College Foundation is pleased to offer its students tuition scholarships provided by the Foundation Board and their generous donors. Scholarships are available to any student who is not funded by an outside agency.

Klamath Community College Scholarships

Oregon Coast Community College Foundation Scholarships The OCCC Foundation awards scholarships providing assistance for tuition, fees, and books for sixty-four deserving students. Seventy-nine percent of applicants received a scholarship, with awards ranging from $500 to $4,500.

Portland Community College Foundation Scholarships

The PCC Foundation awards hundreds of scholarships every year to students who may not otherwise be able to afford an education. Foundation scholarships pay for tuition, fees, and books for students enrolled at PCC.

Southwestern Oregon Community College Foundation Scholarships

Each year, approximately 3,000 students attend Southwestern full-time. Of those students, 92 percent qualify for some form of financial aid. In addition to direct Foundation scholarships, the College also provides approximately $800,000 annually in direct assistance and tuition waivers to students attending Southwestern. Application cycle is open annually from January 1st -March 1st for SOCC students.

Tillamook Bay Community College Scholarships

The TBCC Foundation offers many different types of scholarships that can help you pay for tuition, fees, books, child care expenses and more. If you are struggling to afford your education, we encourage you to talk with a financial aid advisor and to take the time to see if you are eligible for a scholarship.

Treasure Valley Community College Foundation Scholarships

Multiple scholarships are available for TVCC enrolled students. All applications must be received or post-marked by January 15th in order to be considered.

Umpqua Community College Foundation Scholarships

Oregon Health Sciences University Scholars for a Healthy Oregon

SHOI funding provides full tuition and applicable fees for a limited number of eligible students entering specific clinical degree programs at OHSU. In return, funding recipients agree to practice as a healthcare practitioner in a rural or underserved community in Oregon for a minimum of one year longer than the total years of funding received.

The Office of Student Financial Aid offers scholarship opportunities to undergraduate students. These funds are awarded to Washington resident students on the basis of financial need. Washington State University Scholarships
