It was agreed to shorten the name from Ernest Bevin Phoenix to EB Phoenix. There is a requirement for 2 x signatures to be listed with the account, Dan Martin and Brian Watts have agreed to remain as signaturies for the club.

Club Fees Sandy has raised the requirement to amend the concessionary fees, as presently there is a disparity between the rates for single judoka in comparison to the family and Ernest Bevin student concessions. This will be discussed and agreed at the next committee meeting..

Club Presentation / Opening It has been agreed to combine the success of obtaining the BJA Bronze club accreditation with the opening of the club under its new name of EB Phoenix. Date yet to be confirmed, proposed dates of 24th June and 1st July have been submitted. Densign White (BJA Chairman) is unable to attend the 24th. It was proposed then that maybe Brian Davies (BJA Deputy Chairman) could present the award in Densign’s place. Suggestions that have been proposed include; a sponsored throw and a demonstration. Joanne O’Reilly asked whether it would be possible to include a commentary with any demonstration as from a parent’s perspective, it is not always clear what the rules and terminology mean and could assist with the Judoka’s understanding of the rules and sport. Full details of how the evening will progress will be discussed at the next committee meeting – scheduled for Monday 14th June 2010.
