1. The four key requirements for potential YWCA National Board members are: a. Commitment to the equality of women b. Leadership – the ability to create a vision and capability of devising strategies towards achieving the vision c. Ability to work towards a long term national perspective within a movement philosophy d. Be familiar with and knowledgeable about the social policies of YWCA Canada and be able to promote, defend and speak to them as and when required.
Please describe, with specific examples of activities/behaviours, how the nominee meets each of these four requirements.

1. YWCA Canada is a feminist organization. How do you describe feminism? Do you consider yourself a feminist – why/why not? If you do not consider yourself a feminist – how would you reconcile that to participating on this Board?
2. What leadership experiences have you had? Describe a maximum of 2 most relevant leadership experiences in which you have had to create a vision and led people towards achieving that vision. Tell us the most effective strategies you used. Tell us about the lessons you learned.

4. How would you advance the work of the YWCA movement? What do you see as the 2 most pressing challenges facing either the YWCA movement or the Women’s Movement in Canada? Please give examples of current/previous experiences and relationships that are relevant to a National Board Member.
5. What role do you think YWCA Canada has at the regional, national and international levels? What role do you think a National Board member has in meeting the
