I. Call to Order/Pledge of Allegiance: 6:07pm II. Introductions IV. Refreshments V. Review Minutes from October Meeting VI. Treasurer's Report – no report IV VII. Old Business V a. Ortona ArtWalk – rollout moved to second week in January b. Working Calendar – Volunteers Needed Santa’s Workshop – Dec. 9 (10 so far and need more) c. Mini-Grant – previously e-mailed to board and approved; Jeannie Burden moved to approve; Andrea Hooper seconded d. Movie Night to be rescheduled – move to Friday in February (17th or 24th); checking with Daytona Beach Leisure Services to see what date we can use the screen e. Fit on the Fly – moving date to April/May; Tanya will propose dates to the board and then let Tammy Provost know when we’ve chosen; will work with other PTAs to participate and possibly split the cost VIII. New Business a. Principal Internship Request b. School Dress Code – Input Needed – survey being given by PTA and SAC – few questions: https://www.surveymonkey/com/s/dresscodereview; deadline to submit is Jan. 30 c. Volusia County Schools Family Skills Workshop – three 40 minute workshops on family skills, school success; Title 1 pays for it ($25 per family, includes box lunch) d. Everybody-Every day – 3 students’ artwork on display at ArtHaus e. Best Practices Quality Assurance Team – Tue. Dec 13 coming to evaluate our school IX. Officer/Commitee Reports - Fundraisers - Naming the Ortona Dolphin – second week in Jan. - Giftcards – earned $400 so far - Membership count: 105 - Family Center – put together Thanksgiving baskets for needy Ortona families and doing same for Christmas X. Member Comments- Gold & Silver shop on Beville offering 20% back to our school for any Ortona referral XI. Adjournment – 7:25pm; Next PTA meeting, Thurs., January 19, 2012 6:00 p.m.
