ACTIVITIES TO LEARN THE CTEP MEMBER SITE! Go to: Members.technologypower.org

Login In, Go to “My Account”, click on Member Profile and enter all Information except Biography and Work Phone. For “LOCATION,” enter your current home address.

Click on “Edit” on the top and add your picture!

First, go to our CTEP Flickr Site, http://www.flickr.com/photos/ctep/ Find your own picture and click on it. Click on download this photo in the bottom right and then “Download Square”

Once the photo is on your desktop, go back to the member site and upload the picture through the “Browse” button.

Each person creates a Biography for another person in your group… Go to “Forums” to the category… CTEP Member Bios. Interview another person in the group and record their biography… DO NOT WRITE YOUR OWN BIOGRAPHY. Do not use this person’s name in the biography. Instead ask them what pronoun they prefer and use this in your description. (We will use these biographies in the first Corps Day.)

Respond to the following questions… Write the questions out in Bold in the posting

What is your life history? What is a little known secret about you? What is your life mantra?

You heard there was a website from a Corps day from August 2009 that had to do with a project called Rethink Recycling. What is the URL? ______Hint: do not go to the calendar

You heard of an interesting activity last year called a Soup Swap. What was the name of one of the soups?

You read an interesting news story or resource on the digital divide and want to add to the “Digital Divide Resources” Forum. Find a unique one online and post it for the group to read.

Hint, look at some of the other posts first so that you are not duplicating a story that has already been uploaded. Try to search for a creative article that someone else has not found!

You heard that there is a list on the member site that shows the links to download many Open Source programs. Where is that? Have your group come up with a real life discount or free resource (food, clothes, entertainment) that other members could benefit from, and how they can connect to that resource

Post this under the forum, “discounts and resources” When you post this form, also send an email version out to the whole group through the link on the member site
