Human Resources Manager

The HR Manager owns the employment experience at Pipeworks Studio and is a culture champion. This position is responsible for providing hands-on execution of the Studio’s human resources function including entry into HRIS, ATS, and benefit provider websites, ensuring the accuracy of entered information. Drives recruiting and on-boarding process with hiring managers. Ensures Studio HR procedures conform to company processes, federal and state law and generally accepted HR principles.

Essential Responsibilities:  Working with both management and employees, maintain positive employee experience and culture within the Studio, and help individuals to resolve HR-related problems and questions  Work with Studio management to develop and roll out HR programs such as annual performance management, compensation, etc.  Act as recruiter on open requisitions, facilitate the offer approval process, and conduct new employee orientation, including entering new hires into HRIS and preparing necessary paperwork for employee file(s) and payroll  Enter HRIS changes for employees and inform payroll if it affects an employee’s deductions or pay  Maintain accurate benefit enrollment for employees on provider websites as well as HRIS and communicate changes to payroll  Manage annual benefit enrollment process including working with broker to review any potential changes and communicating to employees  Maintain compliance, adhering to State and Federal laws governing employees  Assist management with personnel issues including coaching managers on appropriate actions and acting as employee advocate as necessary  Assist employee activities committee with HR input on components of employee events  Maintain employee files (digital and paper)  Ensure accuracy of monthly benefit bills from providers Knowledge Requirements:  Knowledge of HR products and principles  Knowledge of automated HR systems  Ability to analyze workforce data and prepare reports  Experience with coaching management on appropriate employee interactions and actions  Strong ethics  Strong background in administering benefit programs  Experience with multi state HR processes  Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills  Advanced user of Microsoft Office products as well as HR programs such as HRIS, ATS and other HR information resources  Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus  Payroll experience a plus Demonstrated Ability To:  Work well/respond to pressure and change  Strong communication skills with employees  Communicate effectively within a multiple location/multiple project/multiple client environment  Think critically, and apply analytical skills in resolving complex issues  High personal standards as demonstrated in quality and pride of work  Willingness to travel from time to time  Self-motivated  Ability to take direction and constructive criticism  Meet deadlines designated for self, Studio and company projects  Professionalism and the ability to function well within a team environment  Quickly master proprietary tools and development processes Qualifications:  5 – 10 years related experience  Bachelor's degree or equivalent Additional information Pipeworks is an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to a policy of non-discrimination in employment on any basis including race, color, age, sex, religion, national origin, the presence of mental, physical, or sensory disability, sexual orientation, or any other basis prohibited by law.
