INTRODUCTION

Currently at the Seven Bar a projector with a motorized lift and a screen are installed, the purpose of this project is to remove the existing projector and screen system and replace it with a three high by four wide video wall. This video wall will have the ability to display one large image or twelve smaller images. All images will come from one existing video feed. The new video wall will need to be controlled by the existing AMX control system.

INSTALLATION APPROACH AND CONDITIONS

It is important that the approach to this project is one that is suitable for a retrofit 24/7 operation. This Bar will not shut down for this installation and it is imperative that the installation is completed in a neat and clean dust free manner. The current ceiling height in the area is approximately twenty-five feet high.

It is the responsibility of the contractor to complete a site survey to evaluate current site conditions. This installation is required to be a turnkey demolition and installation of the required video wall.

The current control system is an AMX control system and the control points are located at the sound booth next to audio and lighting mixing equipment and in the Data Center located on the second floor. The intent of the control is to operate exactly as it is now with the exception that the projector will no longer have a control option and that button will be replaced with a video wall button. You will need to add a second button for the video wall labeled “Video Wall Configuration” Upon depressing the video wall configuration button, all touch panels with video wall control will independently do a page flip to a discrete page for video wall configuration. This page will have easy to use configuration buttons, such as “Single Video Image”, “Quad and Four” and “Twelve”, it is the intent to utilize at least three configurations of the video wall depending on the features of the Sharp displays.
