FRESHMAN ON-LINE COURSE SELECTION 2017-2018 Class of 2021 IMPORTANT COURSE SELECTION INFORMATION WELCOME TO CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL! WE ARE PROUD TO WELCOME YOU AS A PATRIOT!

On-line Registration:  On-line course section will be available from February 20th until March 10th, 2017. Students can select their freshman courses ON-LINE from home.  The following are directions on how to register on-line:  Go to http://classchoice.westada.org/  Select Class Choice Log –in on the Centennial High Web page  Follow the log in instructions  Click on requests at the top of the page to begin the process. You may only choose from the classes listed on the yellow registration forms

The Course Description Handbook is available at http://www.westada.org/chs. Please read through class descriptions to make sure you are signing up for classes that you truly want and have an interest in. Classes are offered and teachers are hired based on the classes you register for in the spring. For this reason, class changes are made only for misplacement. ie: wrong level of math or foreign language

Course selection forms will need to be filled out and signed by a parent/guardian. The course selection forms are due the day the counselors are at your school. Centennial counselors will be visiting your school on the date listed below:

February 23 Cross Roads February 24 Lewis and Clark February 28 Lowell Scott March 2 Pathways

Hard Copy of Course Selection  Make sure the paper copy of your course selection (the yellow sheet) matches your on-line class selection.  Include all information and signatures on the course selection form.  You will request 8 classes each semester, plus 4 alternates. If you do not select alternates and we cannot accommodate your requested classes, your alternates may be chosen for you. Please do not skip this selection.  Honors courses are open enrollment.  Year-long classes need to be entered for BOTH semesters.  You may only choose from the classes listed on the yellow course list for freshmen.

Class Changes Please take time to choose your classes wisely. Schedule changes are only made for misplacement.

Summer School Dates: June 12-June 30 and July 6-July 26 at Centennial High School. Registration packets are available at the end of February, 2017. Look on-line at westada.org for registration procedures, cost and classes that are available  If your LAST name begins with: o A - D your Centennial High School counselor is Carol Joblin o E - K your Centennial High School counselor is Erin Hull o L - Rn your Centennial High School counselor is Kady Stafford o Ro - Z your Centennial High School counselor is Eric Langley o English Language Learners-Kim Gunn o College and Career Planning-Alyson Townsley o Your principal is Mike Farris and your Assistant Principal is Travis Gray

Miscellaneous Information:

 New 9th graders open house at CHS March 7 at 6:00pm  Student athletes must earn 6 credits the previous semester for athletic eligibility.  9th graders cannot be a teacher assistant, counselor assistant or library assistant, so please do not select those classes  Include all personal information, student signature, and parent signature on the course selection form

Remember, all grades count as a high school student and required classes must be passed successfully. Working hard, putting in your best effort, doing your homework, and studying are essential to success in high school
