1. Call to Order and Introductions

2. Any Additional Items and Finalize Agenda

The agenda was finalized without any additional requests.

3. Approval of CoPS Meeting Minutes, (December 2013)

The Council approved the minutes of the October CoPS Conference Call Meeting. There was a change to the language of the Minutes in regards to sponsorship of PDC sessions.

4. Society initiatives impacting CoPS

 The Council dedicated significant amounts of time to the CoPS C-DEP initiative (CoPS Digital Expansion Project). Sue Trebswether from staff was on the conference call to give a briefing about the status of the project. The BOD has approved the concept paper addressing the C-DEP initiative and the project is now being launched. Sue will attend the CoPS Meeting and will also give a status at the June Meeting.

 There was a brief discussion on the freeze of adding new CoPS groups, but the consensus is this topics warrants more discussion and will be on the agenda for the Fall 2014 Meeting.

 Combined Leadership Conference/CoPS meeting proposal: It was reported that the ASSE Board of Directors approved the Council attending and meeting at the Leadership Conference. The CIG Chairs will also be invited to attend and participate. The event will take place October 10th to the 12th.

 Jeff noted the final steps are being taking in regard to the governance restructure. He asked if the Council had any questions, concerns, or needed more information. Attendees noted they were fine with the level/quality of information provided and no significant concerns were raised. Several administrators noted they have been in contact with their membership for insights and comments and response has been positive at this point. There were some comments addressing insights presented at chapter meetings.

 The BOK is doing well and we are getting additional registrations and assets. We have been doing more promotion of the BOK via LinkedIn and that does appear to be helping. We are asking each PS, branch, and CIG to work with their BOK coordinators to review their respective LinkedIn site. What we would like the coordinator to do is either assist 3

in answering questions from their site pointing to BOK resources and/or identify materials that could be of assistance to their respective memberships and post this information.

5. Updates

There were no additional updates added for review by the Council.

6. Administrative Reminders

Publications: Char Haguewood reminded the groups to have all publication materials in on time and in full to help avoid delaying the other publications. She asked that the leaders properly train the publication coordinators that are new this coming program year to avoid delays and missteps. Until the C-DEP project is implemented the Council will continue to use its current publication schedule.

Book Project Updates: Jeff Camplin gave a briefing on proposed book projects. He also noted and reminded the conference call attendees that proposed books need to be reviewed and approved by ASSE before launching a book initiative.

Char Haguewood gave a briefing about the PDC and noted the CoPS related events: http://www.safety2014.org/ http://www.asse.org/practicespecialties/docs/Safety_2014_CoPS_Event_Schedule.pdf

Tim Fisher noted that ASSE does not reimburse expenses related to attendance at the Professional Development Conference. We do reimburse the expenses to attend the ASSE CoPS Caucus Meeting and the House of Delegates Meeting. Administrators need to attend both of these meetings to file an expense report. We have run into issues with this before so the administrators were reminded they must attend both meeting to file for expense reimbursement related to the CoPS Caucus and HOD Meetings: http://www.asse.org/sog/sog03.php?04

7. Meeting Conclusion

Being no additional business Jeff Camplin closed the meeting at approximately 11:52 a.m.
