RE: PETITION NO. 778 – Connecticut Municipal Electric Energy Cooperative (CMEEC) petition for a declaratory ruling that no Certificate of Environmental Compatibility and Public Need is required for the proposed repowering of the Alfred L. Pierce Generating Station located at 195 East Street, Wallingford, Connecticut.

The Connecticut Siting Council has scheduled a field review for this petition for Thursday, September 21, 2006, beginning at 3:00 p.m. Council members will meet at the proposed site at 195 East Street in Wallingford. Directions are enclosed.

A public hearing is scheduled for Thursday, September 21, 2006, beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the Robert Earley Auditorium, Wallingford Town Hall, 45 South Main Street in Wallingford.

Proceed through first traffic light Across from the Electric Division office (which is on your left) is East Street Turn right onto East Street The Alfred L. Pierce Generating Station is on the left The gate on the north side of the plant will be open (an orange cone will mark the turn) and parking will be on the side of the building.
