CASA of South Texas is not obligated to assign him/her to a case, and that 3. As a part of CASA’s policy, additional personal information will be gathered during the interview process, and that 4. CASA of South Texas retains the right to refuse any individual it feels would not be appropriate for the program and, further, that CASA is not required to state the reason(s) for non-acceptance, and that 5. The volunteer’s file is held in strictest confidence and is solely the property of CASA of South Texas.

I give my permission to CASA of South Texas to release information about my experience as a CASA volunteer to any other CASA program to which I may apply in the future.

“I am interested in becoming a CASA volunteer and know no reason why I should not be assigned to a child the program is court-ordered to serve. I am aware that the children in the CASA program have been abused, neglected or abandoned by adults, and since I do not want to be another cause of disappointment to the children, I agree to a minimum commitment of one year to the case to which I am assigned.”

It is the policy of CASA of South Texas to implement affirmatively equal service to all clients without regard to race, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender or national origin. Any applicant found to have been convicted of, or have charges pending for a felony or misdemeanor involving, a sex offense, child abuse or neglect, a violent act, or related acts that would pose risks to children or CASA of South Texas’ credibility, will not be accepted into the program. Refusal to sign a release of information or submit to any required background checks will result in immediate rejection of your application.
