The Magazine Business Office is seeking an Analyst with a strong financial planning and analysis background.

Job Responsibilities: -

 Assist in the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and R&Os through collaboration with revenue and expense teams. Build and maintain P&Ls and other financial models.

 Create financial schedules used in periodic management reviews, including the annual budget.  Coordinate the management of overhead financials for the group, including the PR department, developing annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts through collaboration with department managers.

 Provide project support on strategic initiatives and manage periodic reporting deliverables.

 Analyze existing processes and identify, recommend and implement process improvements to drive efficiencies across all brands.

 Support the Business Office on all reporting provided to Controller’s Group including external audit requests, 10Q/K, balance sheet reconciliations and analytic analysis. Review and reconcile select balance sheet accounts on a quarterly basis.

 Execute month-end accounting closes. Ensure the timely, accurate and complete recognition of financial transactions in the general ledger system including preparation of journal entries, updating financial models, and investigating and reporting budget variances.

 Perform ad hoc analysis.

 Assist in identifying, preparation and upload of Journals into Psoft

 Extract data from Psoft and Cognos

Skills and Qualifications:

- Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, etc.); familiarity with PeopleSoft Financials a plus.

- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of personnel and management.

- Ability to work on multiple assignments in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment.

- Excellent analytical skills, comfort with financial details as well as big picture issues.

- Quick learner and problem solver.

- Strong customer focus.

- B.COM or MBA Finance with work experience in a financial, quantitative, or analytical role.

- 3-4 years of experience working with accounting or related financial area preferred. Public company experiences a plus.

- PowerPoint skills a plus. Shift Timings: 6:30 PM to 3:30 AM IST (9 AM to 6 PM EST) Holidays: Candidate will follow the US Holiday Calendar providing coverage on Indian holidays.
