PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Head Golf Professional/General Manager/Assistant General Manager January 2009—October 2011 Uniontown Country Club Uniontown, PA  General Manager, overseeing all aspects of private club operation including golf, golf course maintenance, dining, banquets, swimming, membership sales, menu development, staff recruitment and hiring of over 80 employees as well as all other aspects of a private facility. (6 Months)  Assistant General Manager responsible for supervising all aspects of sports at private facility, including tennis, golf and swimming. Included in this was the development of youth sports camp, tennis program, swim team & swim lessons. (6 Months)  Director of golf operations for Private Facility that produces 10,000 rounds of golf annually. (3 Years in conjunction with above)  Own and operate merchandise concession that generates $125,000 in merchandise sales per year.  Authored policies and procedures manual for entire golf operation.  Introduced Ladies Beginner Clinic that hosts over 125 participants per season.  Conducted over 250 individual lessons in first season, an increase of over 125%.  Perform club fitting for members and guests utilizing Titleist, Callaway, and Adams and Ping iron fitting systems.  Perform driver fitting for various members and guests utilizing Titleist, Callaway, Ping and Taylor Made fitting systems.  Implemented Junior Programs, clinic setting and on course, that have hosted over 85 Juniors per season.  Hire and train staff of twenty to insure proper service levels are exceeded.  Recruited and sold 24 outside outings for 2011 season, an increase of 50%.  Created largest Demonstration Day with 50 mile radius including Callaway, Ping, Titleist, Adams, Tour Edge & Callaway.  Instituted weekly staff meetings with all department heads in order to bolster communication and cohesiveness in all areas of the facility.  Overhauled Tournament Program to foster excitement and camaraderie, resulting in seven new formats and three new events that resulted in a 30% increase in tournament rounds.  Conduct 20 member tournaments annually.  Weekly newspaper columnist, Herald Standard. Head Golf Professional March 2006 – December 2008 Country Club of Culpeper Culpeper, VA  Director of golf operations for Private Equity Facility that produces 18,000 rounds of golf annually.  Own and operate merchandise concession that generates $125,000 in merchandise sales per year.  Conducted over 200 individual lessons in first season, an increase of over 125%.  Implemented three Junior Programs, clinic setting and on course, that have hosted over 100 Juniors per season.  Hire and train staff of fifteen to insure proper service levels are exceeded.  Undertaken an overhaul of the facility Rules and Regulation program to insure proper service and environment are maintained throughout the facility.  Instituted weekly staff meetings with all department heads in order to bolster communication and cohesiveness in all departments.  Developed and promoted Senior Association to promote the game of golf, resulting in over 500 additional rounds per season.  Conduct 40 member tournaments annually.  Weekly newspaper columnist, Culpeper Star Exponent.

Head Golf Professional April 1999 – October 2005 (Tenure ended due to sale of facility) Quicksilver Golf Club Midway, Pennsylvania  Responsible for overseeing entire golf operation that performs 22,000 rounds annually.  Authored policies and procedures manual for entire golf operation.  Developed and implemented tournament program for members that increased rounds of golf played by 15%.  Initiated four highly successful member service programs that resulted in increased sales in golf shop of 15% and increase in memberships of 10%.  Develop and implement lesson programs for individual lessons for players of all ability levels, averaging 200 lessons annually, with standard handicap reduction of 4 shots per student.  Provide custom club fitting utilizing Titleist Golf Club fitting system in excess of 75 fits per season.  Develop and perform 15 clinics annually for corporate guests.  Develop and institute Junior Golf Program and Junior Lesson program for 50 junior players.  Responsible for managing staff of 25 employees.  Perform all aspects of merchandising, including budgeting, buying, pricing, displays, sales, invoice and inventory control for golf shop with $285,000 of retail sales per year.  Increased sales in golf shop by 20%.  Conduct all phases of tournament operations for member events, outside outings and corporate clientele upward of 130 events per season.  Host PGA Professional for USGA US Open Local Qualifier.  Developed and wrote weekly golf instructional program for Sunday Edition of Observer-Reporter.  Devised, obtained USGA Grant and conducted instructional program for Spina Bifida Association of Western Pennsylvania.  Site Coordinator, Pittsburgh Youth Golf Foundation. First Assistant Professional March 1994 – March 1999 Williamsport Country Club Williamsport, Pennsylvania Under The Supervision of Thomas E. Cioffi, Class A PGA Professional  Scheduled and conducted sizable Junior Program for 60 juniors.  Involved in all aspects of merchandising, including ordering, pricing, inventory and invoice control for golf shop with $225,000 in annual sales.  Implemented new men’s league for evening players in order to facilitate competition and increase rounds of golf played.  Installed and sole user of Sumner Tournament Computer Program.  Supervised the installation and education of membership of the GHIN Handicapping System.  Conducted weekly staff meetings, scheduled and supervised fifteen golf shop employees.  Developed and wrote weekly golf instructional program for Sunday Edition of Williamsport Sun Gazette.  Clubs for Kids Program Developer and Administrator.
