Directions: For this project you are going to take a poem from Out of the Dust and write an essay in which you explain the poem in depth (what it is about, emotional and historical information in the poem, and poetry devices used). You are then going to present your assigned poem and essay to the class. Below is a detailed outline for your presentation essay. For each body paragraph, space has been provided to write your topic sentence for that paragraph and for the body of that paragraph.
