OBJECTIVES
1. By the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify and understand the names of some classroom objects. 2. By the end of the lesson, students will be able to express the correct names of the classroom objects. ACTIVITIES:
1. The teacher greets the class firstly. The teacher holds up the table flashcard.Proceed as follows:
Teacher: What's this? It's a table. Repeat "table". Students: "Table" (repeat 3 times) Teacher: Can you see a table in the classroom? Point to the table. Students: (Point to tables) Teacher: Yes! Good job! The teacher sticks the flashcard on the board and then does the same for the others flashcards. Next the teacher gives each student a handout which has pictures of classroom objects and have them put the handouts in front of them. The teacher touches one of his/her flashcards (e.g. door) whilst saying the word and have the students touch and repeat on their handouts. Go through all of the cards.
2. The teacher has everyone stand up in the middle of the classroom. The teacher shouts out a word (e.g. "Touch the door!") and everyone must run to the door and touch it. The teacher does the same things for the other objects. 3. The teacher collects up the flashcards. And tell everyone to close their eyes. She/he walks up to one of the objects (e.g. the window) and knocks twice on it. The teacher encourages the students to shout out what they think the teacher is knocking on. Each time they can open their eyes to check. 4. The teacher sets up the classroom so there are various objects visible, e.g. a book, a school bag, a chair, pens, pencils, an eraseretc. - basically whatever vocab you have pre-taught. The teacher gives the students a minute to look at the room. Then she/he asks everyone to leave the room. The teacher then hides one object and asks the students to come back in. They have to say what is missing. The student who guesses the missing object first can hide the next object.
