Angie put forward ideas and materials, posters, sign-up forms, welcome email.

4. Patient Information Leaflets:
TP informed the group that the practice was in the final stages of writing a set of leaflets aimed at helping and empowering patients:
How to collect finger/toe nail clippings MRSA: Guide to how to swab Helping your child with behavioural and / or mental health concerns Prostate Problems Test (PSA) Patient information pack.
Once finalised and signed off by Partners, the above information will be shared with the group, prior to being rolled out.
1 5. Automated Appointments:
The practice is considering purchasing Patient Partner Voice Connect, a 24/7 appointments and cancellations automated telephone system, to sit alongside the TRMC Reception team.
Patient Partner Voice Connect will provide the surgery with up to 4 ‘virtual receptionists’ working around the clock, every day of the year. This in turn will free up Receptionists, in order for them to carryout administrative tasks. Patients will be able to book/cancel appointments any time of day or night.
The Practice hopes a repeat prescription module would be added, at some point in the near future.
ACTION: Ann to email a Patient Partner Voice Connect demo to Jeff and Angie, for feedback.

8. Research Ready Update:
Current Study CANDID – The majority of patients who come to their doctor with lung symptoms (for example cough) or bowel symptoms (for example loose stool) do not have anything seriously wrong. However, a few people are at risk of cancer. The study is aimed to help doctors diagnose cancer quickly so that potential high risk patients are detected sooner and unnecessary examinations are minimised for those patients that are low risk. This research is about finding what symptoms and examinations
2 are best for predicting lung and bowel cancer. This project is ongoing until September 2017.
Near future study ARTIC – Antibiotics for lower respiratory infection in young children. Target population: Children aged 6 months to 12 years presenting with acute cough/sputum/’rattly chest/coarse rhonchi; breathlessness; pain.
9. Survey: SCORE Practice Culture Results
Survey Period: November 2016 and areas covered by the survey:
Safety Local leadership Learning Systems Resilience / Burnout Work-life balance
Aims:
To identify areas for organisational improvement To help the practice strive for habitual excellence.
TP and AG discussed the results with the group and explained the survey was aimed at NHS staff in general and did not give a true reflection of the practice culture, as most questions were aimed at Secondary Care or were somewhat ambiguous. It has therefore been decided that the practice will be carrying a in-house survey of 4 of the areas
