Calendar Math/Math Drills

Engage: DEA is making a new parking lot where all the staff can park together in one lot. How many spaces would we need? Students and teachers will walk to Pre-K, Front office, 3rd /4th grade and the parking lot by the back of the cafeteria to count how many cars are here. Students will talk to partners after counting to check if they counted the same amount of cars. Make corrections if needed. After students have reached their 4th lot and counted all the cars in that log they will be risk-takers and add all the number of cars from the different lots to get a sum.
