A BIG--BIG THANK YOU to all that helped with the coffee stop---those who worked a shift or shifts and those that contributed cash and supplies that allowed our net figure to be better. I realize that midnight to 6 am shift isn't the greatest, but, since we have to be open 24 hours a day we don't have a choice. A few shifts were crazy busy and then everything in between. Lance, thank you for getting a great price on the coffee machine and to Doug and Amy for getting the one their church was no longer using at no cost to us.

2When you stop to think, don’t forget to start again

Moxee Parade; August 6 th : Nine cars met at K MART to caravan to Moxee for their parade---Lance, Jeff, Con and Judy, Dave Mitts, Fred and Kathy, Mark, Miguel, Miguel’s’ friend driving Marks 1973 and Velda. Ken joined us in Moxee. 10 cars, WOW It took some time to get on the parade route; I think we were #49. The weather was great. We had time to give the cars a quick touch up and visit for a while and that's not a bad thing. As we went by the announcers table he talked about our car show (a little free advertising). Opal and Dennis were in the parade, not with the Mustangs but with cars owned by Dennis' father. There were four generations of Duffield’s’ represented. Dennis, father to Eric’s two children, Garrett and Madison. Contributed by Velda

Peppermint-Stick Car Show; August 20 th : There were five club members who were able to attend this show; Ken Delozier, Richard Rettig, Jeff Waidner, David Hawkins and Doug and Amy Heilman. There were just over 60 cars on the lot. This was a free show and it was dedicated to the 100 anniversary of Chevrolet. Each car entry received a coupon for a free deluxe hamburger and a 32 oz pop. There were raffle tickets available to purchase for various prizes (mainly food prizes, but those were a big hit). Richard won a third place trophy. Contributed by Doug Heilman

Bickleton Car Show; August 20 th : 3 Four cars met at K MART to go to Bickleton; Lance, Dave and Marcie, Ray and Claude Johnson. Claude is not a member of our club, but lives locally and participates in some of our events. He belongs to the Pacific N/W Mustang Club so he promotes our activities (Is everyone confused by now?). On with the story. Rob Lyons came later as well as Bill Linse, Sandy and a friend. It was a beautiful day, lots of sunshine, friendly people and my guess, around a hundred cars. The BLUE BIRD CAFE was busy along with a BBQ they had set up along the street, serving hamburgers and hot dogs. The MARKET STREET CAFE was doing a good business, serving lunch as well as ice cream ( Huckleberry ice cream, ummm!). Flea markets were set up along main street, some with home grown veggies, as well as the grange being full of vendors. The trophies for the show were awarded around 2:30. Old and new cars, different makes, from an Austin Healy to several Studebakers, beautiful older Chevrolets, Fords and of course Mustangs, from 641/2 to 2011. TROPHIES? Oh yes trophies--- Claude took a first, Dave, second and Lance third. IT WAS A GOOD DAY !! Of course our David and Audrey Haynes are the masters of the car show. Last but certainly not least, Homemade pie was served by a local womens organization. $3.00 for pie and ice cream. THAT'S A DEAL!! It was a fun day at Bickleton. I know---Lance told me if I would behave, I could ride along. Contributed by Velda
