3nd Annual Mom’s Night Out – November 17th

Perfect opportunity to let off steam and relax before deluge of holiday season

El Segundo, CA – November 3, 2011 – Oh yeah. It’s that time of year again. You know it is, and you know who you are. You know because you’re one of the lucky El Segundo women who knows a good time when you see one and who marks your calendar accordingly. And if you’re grinning like a Cheshire cat right now, it’s probably the third year in a row where a big “X” marks the spot!

Sponsored by the El Segundo Education Foundation (fondly known as Ed!), “Mom’s Night Out” is a bonanza fashion show and comedy night featuring home grown talent both on the runway and behind the microphone. This year’s gala takes place Thursday November 17th from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Hacienda Hotel on the corner of Mariposa and Sepulveda in El Segundo.

El Segundo’s Top Models, including teachers Erin Goss, Alisa Lister, Robin Espinoza, Jessica

Lubs, Margie Lynch, Meredith Beachly, Helen Foster, and Mary Jo Nicolino will strut their stuff on the catwalk to help raise money for programs near and dear to their and students’ hearts. They’ll be in good company too. Lisa Wilkin, Beth Hapke, Suzanne Smith, Beth Muraida,

Allison Anderson, Andrea Busch, Tiffany Brooks, Kumi Nootbaar, Cathy McKenna, Victoria

Samia, Maria Leutgens and Laura Kigawa round out the all-star line-up.

Local fashionistas have rallied to supply the models’ outfits, including Ya-Ya’s, R. Chameleon,

Frocks & Rocks, and Varga, while the wonderful Kristi Hale from local hair salon Looks Etc. donates her time and talents as she has for the past three years. New to this whole extravaganza is Kim Huntoon and Susan Cherico from Eriss Salon teaming together for hair and make-up, as well as Chelsea Taylor wielding her tools as she works her make-up magic.

Once the models have pranced and danced for education, hilarious comedienne Kelsey Durkin will keep the crowd in hysterics as she offers her unique and side-splitting perspective on what it’s like to be an El Segundo wife and mother – something her audience can definitely relate to.

Seasoned veterans Tammy Long and Kara Baldino will have definitely earned their seats in the front row to collapse into after their yeowomen’s job of organizing the evening for the third year running.

Tickets are $50 per person including hors d’oeuvres, wine, fashion, fun and camaraderie. For quick and easy ticket registration, go to http://bit.ly/MNOsignup – don’t wait, it’s expected to be a sell out!
