For Fancy Dress Please state who is in the team where necessary General Rules

1. Rider's Age to be taken from 20thAugust 2017. Each competitor may take part in one age group only. Horses/Ponies may only be used in one class/event with exception of lead rein class where they may be shared. 2. When mounted, correctly fitting hard hats must be worn. Body protectors are recommended. 3. The Yetholm Gymkhana Committee do not accept any liability for accident, damage or injury to horse, owner, rider, spectators, or any other person or property whatsoever. Riders and all others are advised to have their own insurance. 4. A Shield and rosette will be awarded to the overall winner of each age group with a reserve champion rosette. Points taken from all events of day with exception of Fancy Dress and Veteran Equitation. 5. Rosettes will be awarded 1st to 6th in every class, as well as prize money, 1st £2, 2nd £1 and 3rd 50p. 6. Champion and Reserve will be awarded to the overall best times through all age groups in the Show Jumping, Six Bar and Handy Pony. For the Games it will be awarded to the most points, then on highest places in a specific games in an order which will be posted on the day. Also a Trophy to the winner to be held for one year for each class. 7. WORKING HUNTER. There will be a Championship with the first two going forward from each class for "The Dolly Mixture Trophy". 8. EQUITATION. To be judged on the partnership and turnout of horse/pony and rider. To do a short show with no jumping. There will be an overall championship for this class with the first two going forward from each class. For the “Dolly Burke Trophy” 9. CLEAR ROUND. Entry on the day. The ring will be open to everyone all day. The size of jumps will vary with a notice by the side of ring at what height the jumps will be at what time. £4 for first round there after a £2. Only one rosette will be given. 10. BARREL RACING CHALLENGE. Entry on the day. This class will be open all day to everyone. 1st to 6th will be awarded in each age group with the fastest overall receiving "The Kippie Knowe Challenge Trophy". £4 for the first round there after a £2 Fastest time will count for a rosette. 11. CHASE ME CHARLIE. Entry on the day. This class will run at the same time as each age groups Handy Pony. There will be 5 jumps of different sizes with the idea to get as many points as possible in 1 minute. £4 for first round then £2. (You can have as many attempts as you want). The Overall winner with the most points will receive “The Linton Burnhead Challenge Trophy”. Points for this will count for the overall championship. 12. There will be a trophy for the Best RACEHORSE (points in the events of the day with exception of Veteran Equitation & Fancy Dress). Please note Racehorses do not need to be retired and do not need to be a member of any of the associations. For "The Mossy Moore Trophy". 13. COB CLASS. (By Popular demand!) Cob Showing class to run after the racehorse classes. 14. VETERAN EQUITATION Class. Open to ALL AGE GROUPS. It will run at the same time as the 13- 15 Years and 16 & Over Equitation. Please present yourself at this time. If you are busy the ring steward will fit you in! **Please note you must enter both your Age Group Equitation & Veteran to qualify for both classes and compete twice** 15. If enough entries this class will split according to age. 16. In the event of a tie for points for an Overall Championship, it will be awarded to highest placing in the Handy Pony then Working Hunter. In Event of tie in Games it will be awarded to the highest placed in the Walk, Trot & Canter. 17. Any complaints can be lodged with a £20 deposit. Refundable if you are correct. 18. Refreshments available. 19. Dogs to be kept on a lead at all times. 20. All Competitors MUST pay £2.00 towards First Aid Cover and Insurance. 21. Photographers will be taking pictures all day. 22. FANCY DRESS. £5 Entry. This ring will be open between 12.00pm and 2.00pm. Please present yourself at any time in this time sphere. To be judged on Originality, Effort and of a Topical theme. You can have as many people as you want or a single person. You don’t need a pony to take part in this ….. As long as you have at least one animal with four legs! Rosettes 1st to 6th. Trophy to the Winner. Please state on your entry form who is in your team and only pay once. 23. Every effort will be made to present prizes on the day but as it can get very hectic later on any prizes not picked up will be posted. 24. It is the responsibility of the competitor to wear correct numbers and be in right sections if classes are split. Points cannot be used for championship otherwise. 25. SCOTNORTH Ex RACERS There will be a In-hand and Showing Class for this. Racehorses do not need be a member of any society and lumps and bumps will be ignored. Scotnorth will present a Trophy to the Champion and also a rosette to the highest placed Racehorse in all events during the day. If you are doing the Six Bar or Games please let the judge know and you will be accommodated.
