Item Action 1 Welcome, Apologies and Introductions

Donna welcomed everyone to the meeting and apologies were received.

Members gave a minutes silence in memory of Carol Houston (Alton St Warden/Ex Chair).

2 Previous Minutes

Copies of the previous minutes were issued and briefly discussed. Minutes were passed as a true record and any outstanding items are included on the agenda.

3 Bathgate Sand

Andrew Peers presentation on the professional and horticultural products range available. (Leaflets distributed)

Questions on Cost / Delivery / Pallet Size / Loose loads -Multipurpose 50ltr Compost (Professional £4+VAT / Retail £2.25VAT) -Delivery only (free to Crewe) unless specially pre-arranged -85 x 50ltr bags per pallet -Trailer delivery on request, site access permitting (Prices on request via contact card details)

Cascade to Plot Holders. ALL 4 Federation Management Team Update

Progress of Priority Jobs  George – Ruskin Road gates replacement to obtain 3 quotes.  Hungerford Road railings completed to high standard, George to arrange GEORGE final payment. Issues with mess to be discussed offline with site. (Hung Rd.)

Annual Allotment Competition 2015  Stunning entries from all sites. Thanks to all sites for all their hard work and effort.  1st October Presentation Evening to take place.  Gift vouchers (Crewe Road Nurseries) and certificates to be presented on day. GEORGE  Invites to be sent out in coming weeks. (Invites) Horticultural Show 2015  Horticultural show on 16th August 2015.  Excellent entry levels with over 200 exhibits, a great day had by all involved.  Big thank-you to GEORGE for his co-ordination and organisation of the day’s events. DONNA  Results to be published on website and combined Presentation evening on (Results) the 1st October.

Treasurer Report  Annual Allotment Competition completed and paid.  Crewe Horticultural Competition complete and payments in progress.  New railings for Hungerford Road installed and payment in progress.  New gates for Ruskin Road at quote stage, progressing. GEORGE (Rus Rd.) Newsletter  This will be an annual publication to all plot holders. Content will include information on the forthcoming year planned events as well as a look back at the previous year’s achievements and accomplishments.  Crewe Town Council is currently looking into sponsorship to meet publishing ALL costs etc. (Newsletter)  All sites asked to send anything they deem appropriate to Donna (Short informative updates, with/without pictures)

5 Crewe Town Council Update

Lease Agreements  Fed Solicitor is Simon Masters.  3 separate solicitors are required for CTC / Fed and Association (sites).  Letters will be sent to each sites chair (unless advised) to explain the lease agreements.  Donna explained the current situation regarding the 3 sites dealing directly with CTC.  CTC Leader Simon Yates to attend next meeting and answer questions.  Claughton Ave to resolve issues onsite, and voice any issues with management team. Fed to meet with committee to discuss issues.  All Sites to discuss any issues with Fed before 9th Oct.

 H’ford Rd. 0 vacant plots Site Inspection complete Proposed Community Bonfire in Nov. Liz organising and will ensure Insurance checked and Fire Brigade informed if required.

 Ruskin Rd. 0 vacant plots (waiting list) Firework display in progress for November.

 Alton St. 0 vacant plots (waiting list) All quiet, some plot holders talking of leaving (in discussion) New Management Team in place due to bereavement.

 Manor Way 3 vacant plots (68 plots onsite) 40 let to tenants 25 to be renovated through £10,000 bid DONNA/GEORGE Funding bid in progress through CVS – Final proof read in progress (Read Bid)

 Henry St. 0 vacant plots (waiting list) Hedges have been maintained by professional company

 Claughton Ave. 5 vacant plots Excess bark chippings available to sites wishing to pick up 14/15 May 2016 Tatton Park opportunity

 Brookhouse 0 vacant plot Gate issues resolved Issues with resident trespassing resolved

 Electricity St. 0 vacant plot (2 on waiting list) 7 Any Other Business

 Crewe Potato and Seed Day 23rd January 2016. Flyers to be presented at next meeting and published in forthcoming Newsletter.  Please be cautious and sensible with any bonfires (check site insurance for any clauses)  Marleen – can sites advise of any available equipment on site that can be utilised by others?  Andy – 20% discount on ground care from Turner Ground Care (Lansdown Road, Stamford Bridge, Tarvin, CH3 8EL, Chester) Mention Crewe Allotments. Also Taylors (Gresty Ln, Shavington, Crewe, Cheshire CW2 5DD)
