Dr. Meir Russ is currently an Associate Professor, the Frederick E. Baer Professor in Business, and the Chair of the Masters of Management Program with the University of Wisconsin (UW)– Green Bay. He teaches undergraduate and graduate classes in management and marketing. He also teaches a strategic emergency preparedness, planning, and implementation class in the certificate for emergency management, Master of Administrative Science Program at UW-Green Bay.

Dr. Russ teaches at BEM-Bordeaux School of Management and at the University of Pisa, GSA Master program. His research interests include knowledge-based strategies, the use of knowledge management for hospital preparedness, the new knowledge-based economic development, and human capital valuation methods among others. In addition to his academic focus, Dr. Russ serves in a consulting capacity with a number of multinational companies in the area of global strategic management and knowledge management, and he chairs the incubator committee at the Green Bay Chamber Advance Board.

Dr. Russ has provided reviews for numerous conferences and journals since 1992, and he has presented and published refereed presentations and papers. He joined the Association of Information Management and Business Advisory Board in April 2007 and is the founding editor of The International Journal of Management and Business. Dr. Russ also serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Asia-Pacific Business. He recently co-edited the textbook Knowledge Management Strategies: A Handbook of Applied Technologies, IGI Publishing, 2008, and is now editing a second book, Knowledge Management Strategies for Business Development, to be published by IGI Publishing in late 2009 or early 2010.

Dr. Russ received his Ph.D. in strategic management, entrepreneurship, and international business, and his M.A. in organizational behavior/theory from The Ohio State University. He also holds an M.B.A. and a BScEE from Tel Aviv University.

Dr. Russ is interested in editing a book that will discuss the different aspects of and illustrate the use of knowledge management for emergency management.
