Personal Information Collection Statement (For Recruitment)

1. Your personal data provided will be used in connection with your application to HKIA Staff Services Limited (HKIASSL) and other subsequent administration if employed. Purposes include assessing your suitability for assuming the position you are applying for and determining the remuneration and benefits package, if applicable.

2. Your personal data held by HKIASSL will be kept confidential but it may be provided to the relevant departments/parties including but not limited to the recruitment panel consisting of representatives from the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) and Civil Aviation Department (CAD) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government, and/or any other persons authorized to process the information for purposes specified in point 1.

3. The completion of all mandatory items (except those denoted as “optional” items) on the employment application form is obligatory for the further processing of the application. Failure to provide such data may affect the processing and outcome of your application.

4. Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you (data subject) have the rights of access to, and correction of, your personal data. Requests for access to or correction of data, information regarding policies and practices and kinds of data held should be addressed to:

5. In accordance with the terms of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, HKIASSL has the right to charge a reasonable fee for the processing of any data access request.

6. Applicant not contacted within 2 months from the closing date for application may consider his/her application unsuccessful. All personal data will be kept up to 24 months from the closing date and destroyed afterwards.

7. If the application for employment is successful, the personal data provided will be transferred to individual employee’s file and further be used by HKIASSL during or after your employment as appropriate.
