Family Labor Day Concert and Picnic with Joanie Leeds & the Nightlights Tickets now on sale for New York’s hottest ”kindi-rock” artist performing September 1 at PJCC

(Foster City, CA. August 4, 2014) – Peninsula families are in for a special treat with the appearance of New York’s hottest female-led, kindie (kid + indi) rock band, Joanie Leeds & the Nightlights. The critically acclaimed rockers are performing a special Labor Day outdoor family concert at the Peninsula Jewish Community Center (PJCC) in Foster City on Monday, September 1 at 11:30 am.

Accompanied by an electric guitar, Leeds belts out both original and traditional hits in a rich and powerful voice that makes this a tot-rock music-maker a rock ‘n roll treat for all ages. Engaging tunes such as Mosquitos, The Tofurkey Song, and Froggy Went a Courtin’ strike the right balance of silly and sweet with clever lyrics, catchy melodies, and a rhythmic beat that invites dancing in the aisles.

Families are welcome to pack a picnic (no pork or shellfish, please) and bring blankets and low lawn chairs. Food will also be available for purchase.
