Committee Chairman Hanebutt called the meeting to order at 7:12 P.M.

New Business I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – April 20, 2016 Meeting Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Thompson, to approve the minutes from the April 20, 2016 meeting. Carried
Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – May 26, 2016 Meeting Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Linnertz, to approve the minutes from the May 26, 2016 meeting. Carried
II. Department Activity Report The department activity report was included in packets.
III. Training Request A. Hewitt/Horrell – 4E Active Shooter – October 26-27, 2016 – Alton, IL Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Linnertz, to approve the request for Officers Hewitt and Horrell to attend the October 26-27, 2016, “4E Active Shooter” training in Alton, with no fee. Carried
B. Chief Brittingham – Collective Bargaining Update – July 20, 2016 – Cahokia & Why Teens Kill – August 4, 2016 - Belleville Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Thompson, to approve the request for Chief Brittingham to attend the July 20, 2016, “Collective Bargaining” training in Cahokia, with no fee. Carried Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Linnertz, to approve the request for Chief Brittingham to attend the August 4, 2016, “Why Teens Kill” training in Belleville, with no fee. Carried
IV. Reentering the LESO Program Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Linnertz, to approve the reentering the LESO program at a cost of $300, annually. Carried
V. Damage to Skate Ramp at Lincoln Park Chief Brittingham gave an update on the damage to the ramp at Lincoln Park, and although the Muskets took complete responsibility for this happening during their Jeep Run, some of the city workers think the damage was done by a contractor doing the watering system at the park. Brittingham will do further investigating and report back to the committee.
VI. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City Motion made by Committee Chairman Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Linnertz, to recess into executive session at 7:23 to discuss the FOP contract. Carried
