John Ward Jewellers is a locally owned and operated family business. John moved from South Australia with his family in 1995. All Johns working career has been associated with the jewellery industry giving him extensive years of experience and knowledge. John’s now chosen profession is goldsmith making and designing jewellery.

John along with daughter Heidi completes the jewellery workshop, while his wife Lesley assists with administration and design.

Every now and then there is something an occasion, a gemstone, a person, so rare and precious that it deserves nothing less than a singular piece of jewellery.

In over 25 year of designing John’s work has never been outsourced and never compromised. This kind of expertise does not come easy; it comes in slow, measured steps that eventually give way to a deep understanding.

John prides himself on service, and the maintaining of quality in providing the best value product that is available. When designing a piece for you, you have a choice from a combination of coloured metals, yellow, rose and white gold, sterling or platinum silver. You can also choose your carat of metal 9 or 18 carat.

Gemstones are displayed in the store, or if particular stones are required they can be obtained. Wherever possible we use natural stones that have not been heat treated, we prefer the beauty “Mother Nature” intended. We are able to work with your stones. Ask us about redesigning your existing pieces, or unused jewellery can be pulled apart and recreated into something totally different.

Having our workshop on the premises mean we do all our work in house. You can be assured we care for your items from start to finish. Our facilities allow us to recreate a design for you from old or unused jewellery into a new creation. Family heirlooms can be restored in most cases to their former glory ensuring many years of pleasurable wearing.

Matching an existing ring is not a problem. We are able to fit another ring to an existing ring. Worn settings and shanks can be replaced, as well as fully servicing your ring. Claws are checked for wear and can be replaced. See us for class and club rings, logo jewellery can be created, symbols and brand logo can be added to jewellery making them a very personal piece.

All work is completed in our premises, with nothing is outsourced. We offer a refining service for unused or no longer required jewellery item that you may wish to recycle, and return to pure metal. Card services are available with most major cards accepted. A lay-by period of 8 week with one-third deposit is required. Off street parking is available at the rear of the premises with access from Central Street, this car park will also accommodate larger vehicles. A one third deposit is required on acceptance of all quotation this will lock in your price against any material increases.
