POSITION TITLE: Mobilization Readiness Officer MOS/AOC/BRANCH: 01A

DUTY LOCATION: Joint Force Headquarters, J3, NGMN-OPM, St. Paul, MN

SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR: OFFICER (O1 – O4) are eligible to apply. IAW NGR 600-25 AND AFI 36-101, grade inversion within the full-time workforce is not permitted. Military grade of the supervisor must equal/exceed grade of personnel supervised.

WHO MAY APPLY: For Merit Announcements, eligibility is limited to personnel currently in the Minnesota Army National Guard who are serving Active Guard/Reserve (AGR) tours. Current AGRs must have a minimum of 18 months in the program to be eligible for reassignment.

LENGTH OF TOUR: 3 YEARS – Subject to program continuance; members successfully completing initial tour will be afforded priority for tour extension, after completing initial tour.

AGR PROGRAM BENEFITS: Salary is determined by military grade and time in service. Member is authorized Subsistence allowance, Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH), thirty (30) days annual leave; medical and dental care. TRICARE Standard coverage for dependents. Military Exchange and Commissary privileges.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyzes the war plan missions assigned to the state's units and evaluates the capability of those units to meet requirements considering mobilization capability, readiness and other factors. Analyzes United States Forces Command (FORSCOM) Mobilization and Deployment Planning System (FORMDEPS) directives to ensure Joint Force Headquarters and unit compliance with established mobilization requirements contained in these documents. Coordinates the Army CAPSTONE Program with peacetime and wartime chains of command. Analyzes and reviews the FORSCOM CAPSTONE Coordinates CAPSTONE data and provides recommendations for changes based on geographic location, peacetime command and control requirements and structure considerations. Ensures the Mobilization Exercrise Program is effective, sensitive to state specific missions and needs, and is coherently organized for effective implementation. Makes recommendations to the MRO on the planning, programming and execution of mobilization exercise funds. Acts as the mobilization POC for the Reserve Component Automation System (RCAS), coordinates staff studies, and actions. Represents the state at NGB, US FORSCOM and other General Officer and Major Command mobilization and deployment conferences as required. Prepares and conducts instructions on mobilization preparedness and planning as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
