MAHONING TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISOR’S MEETING Monday, January 14, 2013

CALL TO ORDER: John Wieczorek called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. at the Mahoning Township Building, 2685 Mahoning Drive East, Lehighton, PA 18235

ROLL CALL: PRESENT: John Wieczorek, Chairman; Linda Benner, Supervisor; Todd Weaver, Supervisor; Thomas Nanovic, Solicitor (arrived late 6:07 PM) and Natalie D. Haggerty, Secretary-Treasurer

ABSENT: Franklin Ruch, Vice-Chairman and Bruce Steigerwalt, Supervisor

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: MOTION John Wieczorek made a motion to approve the minutes of the December 27, 2012 Board of Supervisors Meeting and January 13, 2013 Organizational Meeting. Seconded by Todd Weaver. John Wieczorek, yes; Linda Benner, yes and Todd Weaver, yes 3-0 vote. Motion carried.

APPROVAL OF TREASURER’S REPORT: December 2012 MOTION John Wieczorek made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report for December 2012. Seconded by Linda Benner. John Wieczorek, yes; Linda Benner, yes and Todd Weaver, yes 3-0 vote. Motion carried.

APPROVAL OF TRANSFERS: MOTION John Wieczorek made a motion to approve the following transfer: $537.97 Residential Street Light Money Market to General Checking $595.20 Residential Fire Hydrant Money Market to General Checking Seconded by Linda Benner. John Wieczorek, yes; Linda Benner, yes and Todd Weaver, yes 3-0 vote. Motion carried.

PAYMENT OF BILLS AND PAYROLLS: MOTION John Wieczorek made a motion to approve payment of the following bills and payroll: Bill List #371 in the amount of $121,151.31 General Checks #18941-18979 Payroll Check’s #10703-#10766 State Checks #1339-#1340 Special Equipment Check #239 Building and Land Check #117 Fire Company Check #42 Seconded by Todd Weaver. NEW BUSINESS Michael Morresi Letter of Resignation MOTION John Wieczorek made a motion to accept Michael Morresi, Part Time Police Officer Letter of Resignation. Seconded by Linda Benner. John Wieczorek, yes; Linda Benner, yes and Todd Weaver, yes 3-0 vote. Motion carried.

Approval of 2012 Delinquent Real Estate Tax List MOTION John Wieczorek made a motion to approve the 2012 delinquent real estate tax list. Seconded by Linda Benner. John Wieczorek, yes; Linda Benner, yes and Todd Weaver, yes 3-0 vote. Motion carried.

Nancy Wentz Veteran Exemption from Township Real Estate Tax MOTION Todd Weaver made a motion to grant veterans exemption to Nancy Wentz from township real estate tax. Seconded by John Wieczorek.
