GREENE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

CALLED MEETING HELD IN THE CONFERENCE ROOM OF THE NORTHEAST GEORGIA REGIONAL COMMISSION January 7, 2015

Chairman Bullard opened the Called Meeting at 9:00am.

Commissioners Deering, Smith, Human, Britt, and Chairman Bullard were present. Also present was County Manager Byron Lombard, County Attorney Donald Cronin, Special Assistant to the County Manager Chris Edwards, Executive Director of the NEGRC Jim Dove, NEGRC Executive Assistant Mott Beck, Lake Oconee News Reporter Jackie Gutknecht, Chamber President Dick Schneider, and Reynolds CIC Government Liaison Ernie Felice.

Chairman Bullard began the meeting with an opening statement and an overview of the Vision and Mission, County operations, and other matters. No action was taken.

The Board received an overview of the role and capabilities of the Northeast Georgia Regional Commission from Executive Director Jim Dove. No action was taken.

The Board discussed various issues during the remainder of the retreat, including: the County’s Economic Development and Tourism efforts; the Budget and Property Taxes; appointments to Boards, Committees, and Authorities; appointing a Vice-Chairman for 2015 at the upcoming meeting; the need to revise the list of individuals on the Signatures of Accounts; and various priorities and initiatives for the coming months. No action was taken.

Chairman Bullard adjourned the meeting at 2:00pm.
