Training Overview Module 5: Good Housekeeping

Estimated Time Required: 40 - 75 minutes o 10 - 15 minutes (Module 5 Presentation) o 30 - 60 minutes (Outdoor exercise)

Learning Objectives After completing exercise 5 attendees will be able to: 1. Identify and apply typical Good Housekeeping practices, and 2. Inspect their facility for maintenance needs.

Materials Needed: For the presentation: o Power Point Presentation: . \Module 5\Module5-Good_Housekeeping.ppt o Script for Presentation . \Module 5\Script_for_Module_5.doc o Computer with Power Point o Projector

For the exercise: o Exercise: . \Module 5\Exercise_for_module_5.doc o Pens or pencils o Flip chart and markers o Handouts for Trainees: . Annual Stormwater Inspection and Report Template and/or inspection form found in your facility’s SWPPP. (enough for each team of 2-3 people to have a copy). The provided Report Template is located at:  \Module 5\Resources\AnnualSiteInspection.doc . Copies of a facility map or air photo (enough for teams of 2-3 people to each have a copy). You can use the same air photos or facility maps as you used in module 1, as long as they are fresh copies (ie: no writing from module 1 on the maps)

Preparation: 1. The trainer may want to customize the “Annual Stormwater Inspection and Report Template” to their site. This would allow the trainer to collect the forms after the exercise, sign and certify them and then use them as the facility’s annual inspection. 2. Make enough copies of Annual Stormwater Inspection and Report Template and/or inspection form found in your facility’s SWPPP for each team of 2-3 people to have a copy.
