Mr. Mitchell has over 20 years of experience in construction consulting, construction management, and large loss investigation. Prior to the forming of The Tines Group, Inc. in 2007, Mr. Mitchell was the President of Mitchell Consulting, Inc., in Frisco, Texas, for four years. Before that he worked as a Senior Building Consultant for Unified Building Sciences, Inc., in Dallas, Texas for nine years. He has extensive experience in evaluating damages to commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings, and has also completed over a dozen commercial construction projects nationwide totaling over $10,000,000.00 in construction costs.

Mr. Mitchell and The Tines Group, Inc. are building consultants responsible for 150+ large loss projects per year. He performs damage assessment, defines repair methods and durations. He also works with design professionals and city/county building officials to evaluate code compliance. In addition, he establishes replacement cost valuation for commercial claims ranging in size from $100,000.00 and up. Mr. Mitchell is particularly experienced in evaluating commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities. His background is a combination of consulting, construction and insurance. His services are sought by the insurance industry on large commercial losses to evaluate costs, methods and duration. He has been named as appraiser and as umpire for carriers when claims have reached the appraisal process and has also assisted legal council on liability claims involving property damage.
