Site Name: Tununrmuit Rinit Corporation (TRC) Store Diesel Tank Farm

GPS Location: N60°35’13.9”, W165°15’10.8”

Descriptive Location: The TRC Store diesel tank farm is located at the northeastern end of the village of Tununak. It is located on the Tununak Bay side of the TRC Store and is approximately 20 feet from the shoreline.

General site description, with brief history of use: The tank farm is an active fuel facility that was constructed in the late 1970’s. The storage tanks are owned and operated by the TRC Store. Fuel from the storage tanks is distributed to residents at the pump house just to the northeast of the tank farm.

Buildings on site: TRC Store few feet away east, watering point at least 170 feet east.

Approximate site size: acres OR 73 feet wide by 42 feet long

General shape/size comments: The capacities of the tanks range from 7,600 gallons to 8,946 gallons. The total capacity of the tank far is approximately 66,636 gallons. The tanks are welded steel construction and rest on individual platforms constructed of treated planks. Fill and distribution lines for the tank farm are threaded steel piping. No structure exist to provided secondary containment for this fuel storage facility. Potential or suspected contaminants (or wastes containing contaminants):

Analytical sample results from samples collected at these locations indicate DRO concentrations ranging from 294mg/kg to an estimated 3,260mg/kg. The analytical result for GRO shows a concentration of 32.9mg/kg. RRO concentrations in this location range from 49.7mg/kg to 259mg/kg. Toluene sample results show concentrations estimated at 0.0744mg/kg. Concentrations of ethylbenzene in this location were estimated to be 0.0899mg/kg. The analytical sample result for total xylenes at this location was an estimated concentration of 1.096mg/kg. Nature of Contamination: Diesel tank farm constructed in 1970’s.
