MINUTES OF THE EXMOOR HORN SHEEP BREEDER’S SOCIETY SHOW AND SALE MEETING
A Show and Sales Meeting for the Exmoor Horn Sheep Breeder’s Society was held at The Exmoor Forest Hotel at 9.15pm on Wednesday 25th April 2012 following a Council Meeting
25041201S Apologies 14 Members were present with apologies received from 7 Members as recorded on page 75 of the attendance book. Mr George Vellacott was in the chair and the minutes were taken by the Secretary Mrs Jan Brown.

2014 Royal Cornwall P Alford 24041206S Show Expenses Last Year it had been agreed to allocate £1,000 for show expenses for those exhibiting at the Devon County, Bath and West, Royal Cornwall, and Royal Welsh Shows. The cost of entries, fuel, and other costs have increased and Mr John Richards pointed out that those showing their sheep ‘showcased’ the breed and an increase should be considered. Mr David Bawden proposed that the amount should be £1,500, this was seconded by Mr Mike Stanbury.
24041207S Any Other Business Mr John Tarr commented that there had been a discussion at South Molton Market , as to whether the Exmoor Mules were holding their teeth as they should.
Mr David Bawden informed the meeting that the Wool Board are paying 30p per kilo more than they were last year.
The meeting closed at 9.50pm
