Portland Basketball Club Meeting –29 July 2014 Meeting called to order at 6:30 pm by club president, Gary Collins.

Reading of Agenda  Motion: To approve the agenda for 29 July 2014 Vote: Motion carried Resolved: Agenda for the meeting on 29 July 2014 approved without modification Approval of Minutes  None Business  Motion from Gary Collins: To accept changes to original plan for Golf Tournament fundraiser. A) Change price from 125.00 per person to 115.00 per person. B) Change the start time to 9:30 a.m. from 10:00 a.m. C) Golf Committee consists of Thompson, Wallengren, Deane, Collins, Dagget, Kostraba, Charpentier. Laura still needs 8 more volunteers TBA D) Next Gold Meeting scheduled for August 12 at 6:30 p.m. E) Vote: unaminous Resolved: Motion carried;  Motion from Gary Collins: To begin advertising for registration and coach selections A) Tom Piersall will chair the committee for all coach selections B) Current coaches will remain in their positions unless otherwise notified C) All coaches will be in place by the end of September D) All coaches will run fundamental clinics beginning October 7th E) Tryouts for travel players and cheerleaders will take place on October 22-23 F) League play will begin November 15th. All teams will expect to have 8-12 home games scheduled. G) Lauren Coleman will send out release for open registration H) Vote: unaminous Resolved: Motion carried  Motion from Gary Collins: To assign seasonal duties to board members A) Uniforms: Dave Wallengren B) Equipment: Dave Wallengren and Mike Kohs C) Safety: Tom Piersall D) Scheduling: Gary Collins E) Referees: Gary Collins F) Concessions: Charpentier / Schneider G) Tournament Coordinator: Tabled H) Try-Out Coordinator: Kostraba / Kohs / Doering I) Coaches Coordinator: Tom Persall J) Vote: unaminous Resolved: Motion carried  Summer League A) The courts by Brownstone have been reserved for the PBC on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and some weekends. If you plan on playing, you must email Sean and let him know. B) You may only play teams that are in the league due to insurance reasons.  Teams (including Cheerleaders) A) Proposal for a 4th grade boys travel team by Gary Collins B) Rob Kostraba would not support unless the proposal included a girls team as well. C) Dave Wallengren made the Motion for two 4th grade travel teams for boys and girls. If numbers for girls is low then they will have the option to try out for the 5th grade team. All 4th graders will be required to play rec ball also. D) Vote: unaminous Resolved: Motion carried E) Open discussion for having two cheer teams. No resolution F) Motion to supply cheerleaders with first aid kits, carried.  Treasurer’s Report A) Only pay outs were for $200.00 to Support Connor Giveans Capstone project and 150.00 for High School Brick fundraiser.  Next meeting scheduled for August 25th, 2014 at the Waverly Place
