Agenda

 Use of Instructional Assistants (Possible restructuring of times/assignments) o Current class sizes . K (24, 25, 24) . 1st (17, 17, 17, 17) . 2nd (20, 21, 20, 21, 21) . 3rd (19, 20, 19, 19, 20) *Additional Read 2 Achieve requirements. . 4th (27, 25, 27, 26) *AIG . 5th (27, 27, 26, 26) *AIG o Needs assessment from each grade level – Where is additional support needed? Each grade level representative will meet with teams and provide input on this by Wednesday, November 19th to Dr. Gravely. Restructuring use of instructional assistants will be reviewed based on the needs assessment information provided by grade level teams.  PTO – Community Service Projects (Updated Information) o T-Shirt Project/East Elementary School o Possible project for Winter Break: PJ’s donated to each student at East Elementary; Class parties (December 5th: Bring PJ’s, Wear PJ’s class day; each student donates a pair of pajamas to wear pajamas for the day; staff may also participate. Each student at East Elementary will be given a gift bag to include a pair of pajamas, a school spirit t-shirt, and other prizes donated by the Boosterthon organization. Our parents will be requested to donate juice boxes for a class party for each class at East Elementary School.)  Staff Concerns o 1st and 2nd grade classes are still unable to make adequate use of netbooks for instructional purposes. There are too many issues with attempting to use them. o We need to promote the Kiwanis Club canned food drive more. Date to turn in items has been extended to Friday, November 20th.  Parent Concerns o None at this time.
