My Maths and Puffin Academy - Update

Dear Parents and Carers,

‘My Maths’ has been operating in Key Stage 2 for just over a year now and it is proving a successful way of allowing children time to practice maths in a different format.

Just to remind everyone. If your child is struggling with ANY aspect of their homework they can come to the lunchtime Homework Club which operates every dinnertime. Mrs Beecham is always available to help with any aspect of the work. In addition, we also have an After School Homework Club which is run by Mrs Harding and Miss Falconer on a Thursday from 3.20-4.15pm. If you would like your child to attend please complete and return the slip below.

We treat Cyber-Safety with the utmost importance at Cale Green and are aware that Passwords and User names are required to use ‘My Maths’. The children need a way of remembering their details of how to log on to the system. Please could you help your child in this matter? Continue to remind them about not sharing their details with anyone outside of the family.

Puffin Academy - for Apple devices

We have now found a way of using ‘My Maths’ using Apple devices which we had previously been unable to. You need to download an APP called Puffin Academy, which is free. When wanting to access ‘My Maths’ you then open Puffin Academy and input the ‘My Maths’ website into that search engine as usual.

Unfortunately this APP will not work for Kindle devices. If anybody does come across an APP for ‘My Maths’ that you can use on Kindles then please do let us know.
