The official video for ‘Famous’ – a Cyndi Lauper-tinged dancefloor anthem – features as part of this year’s YouTube Music Awards (in association with Vice), which celebrates acts with the biggest growth in views, subscriptions and/or interactions from fans over the last six months. Charli is among a select handful of artists filming exclusive videos for the awards, that’ll also include Ed Sheeran. The video has been directed by the acclaimed actor/director/comedian Eric Wareheim (MGMT, Major Lazer, Beach House) and highlights the juxtaposition between reality and the ever-growing dependence on social media.
