Call to Order: Meeting called to order at about 6:35 pm Approval of last meeting’s minutes: Motion made and approval received on September’s meeting minutes

Discussion topics  Golden Lake Go- Around Results o $9,500 of our $10,000 goal for the outdoor classroom! o **WANTED** a licensed and experienced contractor to supervise a crew of volunteer parents. Timeline for construction is spring 2016! If you know of someone that would be willing to spend a day helping to build the classroom, please contact Katie Arndt at [email protected]  Book fair results with the sock hop o $3,000 in sales from the book fair. We had a great turn out but a little down from last year. o The sock hop costs approximately $400 to run. Discussed other options for the sock hop. January/February timeline. Street dance. Adding an activity that would occur prior to the dance. Different themes as well: father/daughter, dance under the stars, etc  Carnival Planning or Color Run o We discussed what games were a hit at the carnival. o Jen will make a list of the games from the previous years and then work with student council to have them rate their top 10 games. Some of the favorite games/events from previous years were: Face Painting, fun hair, Soda Ring Toss, Basketball hoop, dunk tank, pie throw, and putting green. o Each person that volunteers for the carnival will have their name added to a drawing for a gift certificate. o Also discussed added clothing that could be sold at the event and also at various school events. o Sign up genius – we should utilize this for volunteers to sign up for events. o Teacher appreciation – let’s add in a massage chair again to the teacher appreciation event. o Carnival date is tentatively planned for April 9 o Silent Auction volunteer Kris Benson will help wrap the silent auction items o 2016 – 2017 school year for the color run  Conferences o National Honor Society will help with child care for the parent teacher conferences – Katie will check on this.  December PTA year end get together o No formal meeting this month – it’s a social time together as a community. o December 15 is tentatively planned for the PTA year end get together at The Tavern Treasurer's Update  Reviewed ‘Money in’ and ‘Money Out’  Will no longer have petty cash of $200. The money will stay in the PTA account and will still be used for emergency funds.  Jen and Katie to do some price comparisons for locked storage cabinets.
