Dear Parents:

Scoring high on the SAT or the PSAT/NMSQT can not only aid in college entrance, but also provide your child with scholarships that could include full tuition, room and board, honors dorms, graduate money and stipends to study abroad.

Jean Burk is offering a rigorous course designed to teach students the techniques of preparation to become successful in taking the SAT and PSAT/NMSQT tests. This course will equip your children with necessary strategies and tips to help increase their test scores. I will also dispel common myths and misconceptions about the SAT that can actually hinder a student's score such as:

Why some smart kids do poorly on these tests? Is there really a limit on how many times the test can be taken? Why the PSAT/NMSQT is not a practice SAT test? How you can get a perfect 2400 without answering all the questions? Although there are various SAT prep courses available, (of which one may benefit), I believe this course will teach unique strategies that are invaluable to the serious student. This course is designed to teach students to look for the hidden patterns that are found on the SAT. Jean teaches proven techniques, clever ACRONYMS and logical strategies to help match answers to the problems. Be Aware: “THE SAT IS A LOGIC AND REASONING TEST AND UNDERSTANDING THE RECURRING PATTERNS AND PROFILES OF THE QUESTIONS ARE THE KEYS TO TAKING THE TEST.” Among the items addressed will be verbal reasoning skills, writing skills, vocabulary analyzing, writing a winning essay and how most math problems can be easily solved. The fee for the class is $99. Each student will receive a copy of College Prep Genius, 10 hours of class instruction and a workbook. Classes are limited and on a first-come basis. Please contact:
