● Treasurer’s report (highlights) including bank balance  Current Balance $46,859.44  Does not include $9500 deposit from ergathon proceeds  $682 spent on hats and $1341.50 on shirts, this money will return to the club.  34 registrants for LTR, 21 registrants for Summer program

● News and updates: ● Report on “May Madness” erg-a-thon and silent auction fundraising progress. o Masters women raised $361 in rummage sale o Silent auction suffered from light foot traffic, but raised $3000. Non-seasonal items will be offered at the November banquet o The erg tournament was a format that seemed to engage the kids, and allowed us to showcase novice athletes. o Current proceeds are $13,850 which is behind 2014 proceeds ($14K) o 32% of the crew participate at the $250 level or greater o 62% of the crew give something at all o Success depends on a few very generous donors o Varsity boats should expected to give at high rates. o We need support and leadership from captains and coaches o Michele Mergy suggested that coxswains take a leadership role in ensuring high participation from their boat o Greg reiterated that this should be an exercise in fundraising in the community. Not just having parents write checks. o Car wash raised $900 for Youth Nationals. This seems like an excellent source of funding. To use the school property, we need permission from Region 18. o A goal like a specific boat may help. We have done this in the past, but in recent years we have stressed that all donations support the equipment needs of OLRA. ● Wrap-up on National Learn to Row Day. o 63 participants. o Lots of volunteers. o Need to instigate a minimum size and weight. o Heather and Paul will write notes to all participants. Post meeting note: this is done. One participant has already appeared for a repeat row. o Need to inform Park and Rec about this event. We did have a DEEP permit. ● Update on Boathouse plans/ BHPIC activities/docks and gangways. o Gangways are installed. o BHPIC met and unanimously agreed to pursue two schemes with the architect--- both will include an enhanced bathroom and “pavilion” building that is accessible to all Town residents. ● Wednesday Chris and Greg meet with RLA to discuss Good Neighbor Policy ● Boater interrupted regatta earlier this year. Greg will mention this at the RLA meeting. ● Plans to review summer program activities and Good Neighbor Policy with RLA leadership at June 10 RLA meeting ● Correspondence with Parks and Rec---outdoor racks ● Park and Rec has asked that outdoor racks be removed. ● Greg is exploring getting racks for use by town. ● There is a precedent for storage of private boats on town property (dinghies at Town mooring area). ● One member uses our facility to launch his shell. He is rowing to maintain strength and fitness while he waits for lung transplant. Rogers Lake uniquely suits his needs, as he is unable to walk much before launching, without exhausting himself. ● Do we need handicapped parking for him ? ● Pick up of 2 Vespoli 2x/- from CRI July 2. CRI will not release the boat until 02-JUL.

● Considerations on boat naming. Name a boat after Rob Roach Develop a guideline. Silent Auction: consider starting at $5000 Market Research: Candace has inquired with CRI. Bill Plage to inquire with NBC.

● Review coaching staff for summer season, including pay considerations o 28 kids already signed up. o Most details ironed out, a few more details to resolve. o Andriel and Alistair and Paul LTR : Lizzie, Erin Lee and Hannah Paynter. Eva Kovach (head women's coach at Conn College) inquired Steve Baranoski has been alerted and will pursue this lead.

● Coaches report---spring season.

● USRowing Dev Camp 2015 June 18 – July 9. o Plan cookout (25th June). o Discussed boat use by Dev Camp

● Progress on SAFE SPORT policy per USRowing (OLRA). Greg will meet with committee next week and share US Rowing links with the committee.
