Creative Connections Sponsored Continuous Professional Development opportunities for Primary school teachers 2017

PLEASE NOTE: Summer term 2017 is the last time this sponsored training will be available

As part of the work surrounding the construction of the new Mersey Gateway the company Merseylink have been supporting primary schools to engage in the production of art work with artists in residents around themes related to the bridge, known as the Creative Connections project. Over a third of primary schools in Halton have produced art work and had this displayed in public exhibitions so far.

The next stage of the Creative Connections project is to offer primary school teachers free Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities to engage in a workshop with artists, who will give teachers practical examples of work they can complete in class with children, and ideas about sourcing materials.

Included here for the summer term are:  Wall Murals with Jojo Gleave (FULL, no further places)  Wire Sculptures with Angela Sidwell  Fabric panels with Georgina Ridehalgh  African masks with Georgina Ridehalgh
