MEGA EVENTS

ANNUAL PRIZE DISTRIBUTION 29th Annual Prize Distribution was held with great fanfare in the School Auditorium. Chief Guest for the occasion was Brig Ajit Kapoor, Brig Arty, HQ Central Command and Chairman of the School & the Guest of Honour was Mrs Abha Kapoor. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest followed by an enchanting rendition by the All Girls Band on the theme ‘Women - Architect of Change.’ Matching the beats of the band, waving the flags – the symbol of women empowerment were the 45 girls of the school. The nimble footed Thai dancers with their graceful movements enthralled and captivated the audience. The Principal, Ms Neena Mathur presented the Annual Report for the session 2015-2016. In all, 222 prizes were presented by the Chief Guest & Guest of Honour for scholastic as well as co-scholastic categories. This was the first time that two of our Alumni Mr Dhanushvir Singh & Gp Capt Ajay Pal Singh were also honoured for their noteworthy contribution in their respective fields. .

The 27 Aug Computer Competition School Head Boy & Head Girl, with the Student Council (XI-XII) & the house contingents took their positions for the Winners: Movie Making : ceremony. The entire school stood up for the unfurling Vineet Kumar (XIC) of the national flag, along with the soaring cadences of Collage Making : Shabaz the anthem, surged emotions, pride & patriotism for the Beg (XIIE) nation and for the school. The patriotic rendition of Programming: Abhishek songs by the school choir was enjoyed by all. The Pratap Singh (XIIC) programme culminated with the distribution of sweets Inter House Events among the students. 12 Aug Display Board Competition (Primary) Winner: Dhaulagiri House 19 Aug Hindi Elocution VIII)Winner:Dhaulagiri House 20 Aug English Elocution Competition (VI-VIII) Winner: Kamet House Sports Events Showcasing their command in the oratory skills, English Debate Team of Rhea Banga (XI D), Ayush Singh (XI G) & Anoushka Bisht (XII G) notched the 2nd Position.

In Hindi Debate, Abhishek Singh (XI A), Shivanshu The Soaring Patriotic Fervour Pandey (XI C) & Anjali Dixit (XI G) represented the school. Anjali Dixit got the ‘Best Interjector’ Prize. ACKNOWLEDGING TALENT The School has now qualified for the Command Finals in 23 Girls were awarded a cheque of Rs 30,000/- each by two events which will be held in September. Honourable Chief Minister of UP Mr Akhilesh Yadav at UP Sangeet Natak Academy for the excellent INTRA CLUSTER-2 BASKETBALL performance in the Board Examination 2015-16. TOURNAMENT AT ROORKEE The School Basketball Boys’ Team brought laurels to the school by bagging the 1st position in Intra Cluster-2 Basketball Boys’ Tournament held at APS Roorkee No- 1.

18 students received cheque of 10,000/- each by the Army Commander Lt Gen BS Negi, VYSM, YSM**, + SM, VSM, PhD, GOC-in-C, Central Command for bringing laurels to school by getting admission in prestigious colleges like IIT, NIT, AIIMS etc. Siddhant Singh (XII C) and Vidhi Upreti (XD D) were given AWWA Awards of Excellence on AWWA Day ANIMESH SRIVASTAVA MEMORIAL ALL INDIA QUIZ by Offg Regional President AWWA Central Command Ms Radhika Ravindran at Surya Sainik The School Quizzers, Pranay Mishra (XII A) & Arnav st Institute, Lko for their all round excellent performance. Hazra (XI A) notched the 1 position in Animesh Srivastava Memorial All India Quiz held at UP Sainik School.

INTRA CLUSTER COMMAND DEBATE & QUIZ AT ALLAHABAD Quiz Pros revealed their talent & knowledge in a brain ENTENTE -2016 storming session. NHRD COGNITIO QUIZ An Intra School Quiz was conducted for students of NUKKAD NATAK classes XI & XII. Team comprising Siddhant Singh & Nukkad Natak ‘Sisakta Bachpan’ was presented by Pranay Mishra were top scorers in Lucknow city & were students of classes IX & X as part of the CBSE project of selected for the Inter School Round at Kanpur. creating awareness about ‘Child Labour’. Later Siddhant Singh (XIIC) & Pranay Mishra (XIIA) secured the 1st Position in the final round of Cognitio, a State Level Quiz organized by PSIT, Kanpur.

PAINTING COMPETITION An Inter School Painting Competition was conducted at Lucknow University in collaboration with Times of India on ‘No Honking Day’. Anil Singh (XIG) & Arti Yadav (XIIF) won the 2nd & 3rd positions respectively in the city.
