Job Title Purchase Ledger Clerk Location Henshaws College, Harrogate Salary £8.66 per hour/ £17,112.16 per annum Hours per Week 38 hours per week (job share considered for successful candidates) Annual Leave 25 days plus 10 Statutory holidays (pro-rata for part time / term time roles) Reports to Finance Manager DBS Check Enhanced Check with child barring

Job Summary

To maintain and be in charge of all aspects of the Purchase Ledger including Purchase Order and Invoice Processing.

Key responsibilities

 To check the accuracy and completeness of purchase invoices and match them to delivery notes and orders where applicable.

 To post all purchase invoices onto the Exchequer system accurately and in a timely manner.

 To ensure that new suppliers are authorised and accepted on to the system before the invoice is processed.

 To liaise with establishment staff about queries regarding their orders and invoices.

 To reconcile the purchase ledger accounts to supplier statements on a monthly basis in advance of the scheduled payment runs.

 To process and dispatch in a timely and accurate manner the payment of purchase invoices via the BACS system or where this is not possible by manual cheque.

 To answer all telephone queries from suppliers.

 To reconcile the Purchase Ledger Control Account.

 To undertake any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Finance Manager. Person Specification
