Special Education and Accreditation Activities

Special Education and Accreditation Activities Institutions offering programs to prepare individuals for any of the Education Specialist teaching credentials or Other Related Services credentials will be transitioning to the newly adopted program standards (adopted in 2008-09). It is expected that all currently approved programs will transition and be fully implementing the newly adopted Education Specialist and Other Related Services program standards by January 1, 2011 at the latest. The accreditation activities will be the venue through which the programs are reviewed for compliance with the program standards. 2008-2009 Program Assessment (Orange cohort) Site Visits (Green Cohort) Program submits a brief plan to address the revised Programs are reviewed against the current special program standards.
