8. Objectives/Lesson Outcomes: . Students will follow a process to make specific economic decisions and will describe outcomes. . Students will virtually purchase ingredients for making lemonade; they will also determine cost and ingredients needed for a cup of lemonade to make as much money as they can in a one week period. . Students will employ technology in the development of strategies for solving problems by demonstrating ability to create an Excel spreadsheet with skills of printing and saving documents. . Students will use strategies involving everything from pricing, weather and customer satisfaction. . Students will develop economic reasoning to understand the development of economic principles through good decision making. 9. Materials and Resources Required: A. Technology (include location and equipment): Classroom, school lab or mobile lab computers. Copy of worksheet for students to keep track of steps in a process. Background of game with student directions.

10. Lesson Procedures: . Students will work in groups of 2-3 using an Excel template to identify the steps needed for specific problem with relevant information. . Instruct students that they are starting a lemonade stand business. Each will make decisions about materials, costs, and how to make lemonade. They need to realize effect weather, cost and taste affects profitability. . Students will pretend purchase materials, record data and analyze how much money made or lost by charting daily progress on Excel document. All decisions should be recorded along with the results. 11. Modifications for Differentiated Instruction: A. Remediation:
