A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in loving memory and honor of A.H. "Bubba" Robertson. With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to A.H. "Bubba" Robertson. WHEREAS, A.H. "Bubba" Robertson was born on February 3, 1930, a native son of the Commonwealth and a longtime resident of Washington County, Kentucky, and traversed these earthly bounds on November 28, 2005; and WHEREAS, A.H. "Bubba" Robertson was the longest serving county clerk in the history of Washington County; and WHEREAS, A.H. "Bubba" Robertson served as the Washington County Clerk for 37 years, from 1966 until his retirement in 2002; and WHEREAS, A.H. "Bubba" Robertson gained a great appreciation as county clerk for the history of Washington County and he used this knowledge to help publish the 1992 Washington County History Book; and WHEREAS, A.H. "Bubba" Robertson was a member of the Kentucky County Clerk's Association and he served for many years as secretary of the Washington County Democratic Committee; and WHEREAS, A.H. "Bubba" Robertson was also a member of the Springfield Rotary Club and the Knights of Columbus Springfield Council 4270, and he helped form the

Washington County Association of the Mentally Retarded; and WHEREAS, A.H. "Bubba" Robertson was also a member of the Washington County Historical Society and the Covered Bridge Commission, and he served on the Lincoln Trail Area Development District Board; and WHEREAS, A.H. "Bubba" Robertson was also a member of Saint Dominic Catholic Church, and he served on the Saint Dominic Holy Rosary Cemetery Board; and WHEREAS, A.H. "Bubba" Robertson was the devoted and loving husband of Carmen Carrico Robertson; and

WHEREAS, A.H. "Bubba" Robertson was the beloved father of A.H. Robertson, Jr., Nell Haydon, and Julee Jones, and the grandfather of seven and the great-grandfather of one; and WHEREAS, A.H. "Bubba" Robertson was preceded in death by his loving parents, Robert Henry, Jr. and Jane Garland McElroy Robertson, and also by his loving first wife, Lee Nally Robertson; and WHEREAS, the passing of A.H. "Bubba" Robertson has left a void that cannot be filled, and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth; NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: Section 1. The Senate does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of A.H. "Bubba" Robertson and extends to his family and friends its most heartfelt sympathy. Section 2. The Senate recognizes that A.H. "Bubba" Robertson was deeply loved and respected by his family and his community, and the members acknowledge his extraordinary 37 years of service as Washington County Clerk. Section 3. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of A.H. "Bubba" Robertson.
